Kelsey's Restaurant, Irish Pub, Banquet Room
Over the past 17 years, we have made every effort to live up to these standards and are proud to be known as "Your Neighborhood Meeting Place!"
Great overall experience. Our server Ana couldn’t have nicer!
Server was initially really great, then it when more people arrived he was swamped. Not his fault but they should have more servers. Food was great.
Excellent food and service
Our server was wonderful and the food (as usual) was delicious! One of our favorite places to go!
Superb salmon special. Attentive waiter. Other staff helpful. Great value, too!
It was a very nice neighborhood restaurant. We were seated promptly, the food was good and the service was excellent.
My husband and I visit this restaurant every month or so. We love the menu - he always orders the blackened ribeye. And the service is always excellent.
We had a reservation and we were seated promptly in a booth. The server was quick to take our drink order. She was pleasant and friendly. My husband ordered the Cajun risotto which was a special that night. He liked the risotto except for the regular sausage in it tasted odd to him. I had the salmon imperial which was very good except for the potatoes it came with. They were soggy and tasteless. The flourless chocolate cake was good and nice end to the meal. I like Kelsey’s and I’m usually happy with my food. I would definitely eat there again. I will stick to their popular menu items the next time I’m there.
We have been dining frequently at Kelsey's since you opened and have never had poorer service. Our server did not bring my husband's entree and after being reminded of it showed no remorse and ultimately offered to bring it, but those dining with us had already finished eating. A second salad showed up at our table instead. I offered my husband the other half of my pot pie, which he did eat. However, it was supposed to be my dinner for the next night since I would be working and had planned on saving it for then. I think he could have made the situation right by taking my pot pie off of the bill but that was not the case.
Always enjoy the food and service here. Will be back soon.
Living in the city has spoiled us with great food options. Often times, we just can't find anything comprable in the county. This restaurant, however, is an exception. We greatly enjoyed the ribeye, the lasagna, as well as the fish and chips. And the server was amazing.
Went with a friend and my wife for dinner after attending a Navy football game. Service was great and we were attended to very quickly. My friend had the clams casino and loved them. I had the chicken pot pie and also enjoyed it. Overall the food was very good and the price reasonable. Nice local place that is suitable for a variety of occasions.
We went to see our friend, Brendan Pelan, perform. He was in the side room and it was Kelsey's anniversary party. Bagpipers were great. Brendan was terrific and played for the crowd. Food was very good and came quickly. Ambiance was like a good Irish American pub. Nothing like a pub in Ireland!! Will definitely go back to Kelsey's always great to find a new place.
Our waiter, who was very nice, but obviously had had zero training in efficiency.
Yummy food and a good variety offered with attentive service.
Will go again!
The food and waitress were excellent and we liked that we were able to reserve a table
Our server was attentive, and met our special needs graciously and efficiently.
Kelsey's is consistently very good, the salmon berry salad is outstanding. Our waitress was newer but tried hard and kept our drinks filled. The only hiccup was my husband's beer being served after his meal, that was weird. He kept it and drank it with dessert. I wish that Kelsey's offered a plain scoop of ice cream or sorbet as a dessert. That would be nice.
Thanks for putting one of your recent tasty specials, Burrito Bowl, on the regular menu. Our server, Sarah, was excellent - friendly and efficient. So glad to have a restaurant like Kelsey's in Ellicott City!
Waiter was really cool. His name was Michael and he was very helpful with suggestions on the menu. Everything was great. It's nice to go somewhere and really enjoy the food with its Irish twist.
We asked for a quiet table for 6 and enjoyed a comfortable large table in a corner near the fireplace. (The bar area was crowded and lively)
We had a great server who really took good care of us. She was new but always inquired so that she could answer our questions.
Food, drinks & desserts were good. Easy parking
Food was great, but it took over half an hour to arrive after ordering.
First time for dinner at Kelsey's. Have been for Brunch several times. They had Seafood Pot Pie as a special on this evening. It was absolutely AMAZING!! Would suggest possibly putting on menu in the future.
Menu had a good variety of restaurant and pub foods. The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was very good. Great shrimp salad and corn crab chowder!!!
Great food and great service. Corned beef poppers are amazing. Mayswich sandwich is back on the menu - one of the best sandwiches anywhere. You can never go wrong at Kelsey's. It is our family's go to restaurant for casual dining.
Excellent first time experience. My family (Wife & 2 grown daughters) reserved a table for 4 on Monday night to celebrate a belated Fathers Day. Our food, service, and the atmosphere was all top notch. We will definitely add Kelsey's to our preferred dining list and look forward to returning soon!
Found this place last week and have already been back this week for a second delicious meal!
The bacon wrapped meatloaf is wonderful ! Already planning to go back !
We love going to Kelsey's! Our waiter was amazing (Adam), the food was delicious! One of our favorite places to go!
Wonderful family birthday dinner for my mother. Food and service was fantastic. Noise level was low. Will definitely come back.
We love Kelsey’s- the food is excellent, the service was outstanding and our company was wonderful
We picked this based on location as we were meeting our son who is stationed in Virginia. Ellicott City was centrally located. Looked at many restaurants in Ellicott City and picked Kelsey’s based on reviews. Did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. The manager was super welcoming and eager to be sure we were happy. Would definitely return! Thank you!
I really like the ambience at Kelseys but when we were seated there were dirty napkins on the floor, the chairs were not lined up to the table, and there were no glasses or clean napkins. Kelseys staff were overwhelmed by the crowds. Some of the food was excellent (boiled shrimp, omelets) but others should not have been served ("stale" pancakes; cheap store bought desserts, overdone breakfast potatoes, crab dip with little crab). THen, as we were finishing the parents sitting at two adjacent tables allowed their children to treat the room as a playground, where they battled each other with their balloon swords. Clearly, this was unacceptable behavior and staff should have monitored this better.
Mother’sDay Brunch. Food was fair. Didn’t like how far we had to walk through the restaurant to our table from the buffet with a plateful of food crossing the front door entrance.
Expensive for food quality. More like a kids buffet. Frozen chicken fingers, pretzel bites, and Mac and cheese. “ Tenderloin “ was under done prime rib. No vegetables. Salad premixed...not a salad bar...was limp and over dressed. Sausage and bacon good. Not really a brunch more of a pricey breakfast.
The resturant itself was hard to find, out of sight inside a plaza. The food was pretty good but not fantastic-I had Seafood Mac which had a good amount of seafood. The noise level was pretty high. The hostess was training a new employee and was audible well inside the seating area. I don't think I'd go back there, given the chance
We love Kelsey's - the food and atmosphere are superb.
We dine regularly at Kelseys, love it. Our waitress was stellar! I wish I had remembered her name, she was so wonderful. She had a taller, slim guy she was training at the same time. Our drinks stayed filled, the meal arrived perfectly even with specific requests. The Irish egg rolls are amazing, you have to try them. Love the crab dip too. The spinach beet salad is extraordinary, I love it, the vinaigrette works perfectly. My husband got the Shepherd's pie, he said it was good but a bit dry. Kelseys has really nailed it on the last several visits, so it's surprising that this one wasn't perfect.
Kelsey’s is a very dependable restaurant. The food is excellent and priced reasonably, particularly their special buffets. We very much enjoyed the Easter Buffet. There were many choices. The food was fresh and presented well. Lots of delicious seafood. For those who do not eat seafood, there was fresh pasta, sirloin roast, Shepherds Pie and chicken Marsala, name some. The buffet was not limited to the dishes mentioned here. We enjoyed our meal very much. Kelsey’s is one of my favorites.
Friendly server and excellent food. Our Easter brunch was a wonderful experience. We will definitely go again!
