   The sushi is always delicious. Peppered tuna tatami roll is perfect! Service is great. We dine here frequently.

   I’m not sure why there’s an option to add an occasion for dining if there’s no acknowledgment of it when you’re there, so to me that seems pointless. The hostess’s seemed annoyed and in a rush to seat us, our server was very attentive and friendly, but the food lacked. In pictures it looks great, but our sushi rolls came well before our appetizers, we’re subpar in craftsmanship, and our appetizers (the meatballs) were dry and cold by the time they reached us. Again, our server was great, but the rest of the experience lacked.

   We were most disappointed in the service. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Prices have increased to the point of ridiculous. Then it took 30 minutes to get our checks and to go boxes. The point of sale things didn't work, either. We won't be back anytime soon.

   Large menu to choose from including salads, bowls and main course entrees. Nice selection of wines, beers and cocktails available. The restaurant can get a little noisy when it's packed but still enjoyable.

   Wait staff was great. Food wasn’t the awesome. Some dishes were good, some weren’t. Drinks were good. The restaurant is unreasonably loud. Not sure if it’s the music or the echo of people talking or both.

    Always delicious, inventive and fun cuisine, you cannot go wrong at Kona Grill. The happy hour can't be beat. I had the watermelon margarita and a sushi roll and pot stickers , my friends had the sliders and a few other things. We just had a great time on the patio and our darling waiter was so accommodating, lighting two of the heaters for me. I recommend!

    Revised- After being invited to retry Kona Grill based on my first experience, I can honestly say I sent a lot improvements! The service was great, the food was warm and everyone was kind!

    The glasses were very dirty one had lipstick stains,one had food smashed hand printed, and food on the other one. The food was not cooked properly.

    Way too loud inside. I lost my voice, and it’s still not back the next morning. The prices are insane especially considering the tiny portions. Authentic Thai and Chinese restaurants serve the same things cheaper, in bigger sizes, and with appetizers included.

    Came in for dinner. All of our food was great! Thanks fully only 2 negatives. I made a reservation but it was not needed because they were slow. Therefore the host didn’t mark that I attended. Yelp/open table has messaged me stating I was a no show. 🙄 Second thing, my girlfriend ordered me a butter cake for my birthday and that thing was hard as a rock. We did tell the server but she didn’t respond. Just continuously asked if we needed anything before we left.

    Horrible experience! For someone who uses OpenTable app to book special occasions (because that's what it is for), Kona Grill should NOT be on their. To start out, it's extremely loud to the point that we could not even talk. It was our anniversary and I noted that it was...nothing done. The service was slow to the point that our food came out cold. We had a sushi roll with eel that was cooked. The eel was cold and chewy. We both ordered steak medium. Mine came out medium well and my husbands well done. For dessert we ordered their double brownie with ice cream. The description was a decedent two tier brownie with caramel drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream. It was 2 boxed brownie on top of each other, cold and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel out of a bottle. We will not be back!

    I have a lot of Grace for service workers but there were just too many things that made this dining experience less than stellar. The service was ok at first and then just fell of. Ordered additional drinks that came after we finished our meal (comp’ed). The meals were so-so. There was a musty smell in the restaurant. We will not go back.

    We brought in the New Year 2023 at Kona Grill - North Park Dallas. Great music from the dj, atmosphere was festive. We were greeted by the hostess with a smile. Our party of five was seated shortly after arriving. We also received party favors; hats for the guys and headbands with feathers for the ladies. We even got to watch the last few mins of the games. Excellent Service! Great Food! Lots of laughs and fun! Most of all we started the New Year off in a safe place with great people. Thank You KONA GRILL

    The menu has so many great options that I didn’t know where to start. The hamachi appetizer was good, but could use a little refining. Kinda chunky instead of thinly sliced. But it still tasted great. Entrees we’re delicious as well.

    Miso soups & prime rib was too salty. Ribeye was under salted. We even asked for hot water to help the soup when he really should have offered us new bowls. Server took those off the bill. Sushi had too much sauce on it even when we were trying to scrape some off. We had to ask for utensils, au jus, horseradish, toss salad & dipping sauce for avacado rolls. Maybe they were tired because it was Christmas. Server was kind but was talking to another table while we were waiting for our check to leave for at least 20 min.

    Food was terrible and overpriced. Rice was hard. Chicken Lettuce wraps looked like carrot stew with a sliver of chicken. 12$ edamame was cold and no salt.

    Christmas, with a reservation. Waited 20+ minutes after being seated to be acknowledged by wait staff... they tan out of the food we'd ordered and took over 40 minutes to tell us. Offered an alternative and we agreed, then brought us different items than we discussed. We all got our food at different times, a 30 minuted difference from when the first plate was served to the last.

    Hard to tell whether or not the experience was so bad due to going on Christmas evening, but both my mother and I were given our macadamia nut chicken entree without the side vegetable it states it comes with, the menu also says comes with miso whipped potatoes, but we received fingerling potatoes instead??wish we would have been made aware of that change, as I did not want a bunch of mini baked potatoes. My fathers lemon garlic penne was made with chicken instead of the shrimp we requested, when we asked the server to have it corrected, she came back and said it would be a pretty long time before they could get the shrimp cooked up, so she had the entree taken off the ticket to rectify the error. We definitely understand the room for mistakes on a busy holiday, but when you're spending $130+ on 3 meals.. someone needs to make sure the entrees are made according to the menu so customers aren't being shorted what they paid for. I feel ripped off =(

    The service was outstanding. Items arrived quickly, and waited was on point. The food was very meh. The spice level was so high in some dishes that made them borderline inedible and there was no spice in what was supposed to have it. Overall, it just wasn’t great food and I don’t think I’d go back to this location.

    It’s was ok waiter started out being a jerk. Ask for virgin cocktail and was told that can’t be done. So I ended going to bar and got it personally made myself. Then he didn’t understand how that works. Simply don’t add any liquor. Overall it very busy Christmas Day so it was alright for what was needing to get done. I must go back but not on a holiday.

    We reserved a party of 4 for this restaurant for Christmas Day. We were not seated on time. The host were not friendly. We waited over an hour for cold food. We were sat at a bar table instead of a booth with toddlers and after being seated for an hour we were asked to move to another broken bar table that was leaning, which was even more dangerous for a small child. We asked the host that rudely asked us to move there to be moved to a safer table that wasn’t broken ( bar tables are high and the table leaned and wobbled ) and she said ok and never returned leaving us standing by the bar. The waitstaff ignored us asking if we would have a table. We found our server who was nice and she had us moved to a booth. Food finally came out hard and cold like it had sat for awhile. We were given silverware wrapped in dirty napkins. I will never be returning. They ruined Christmas dinner for my family. I watched the same host that was rude to us smile and be cheery for guests that weren’t our race ( we are African American ) but cold and uncaring when dealing with us. The server remained nice and apologetic but after the treatment from the rest of the staff we encountered we decided to box the cold food, pay, and leave as soon as possible. I really hated I tipped at all, but the tip I left reflected the poor service we received.
