Was a rainy weekday afternoon and the was very quiet just one table preparing to leave. The service was immaculate, the food (3 out of 4 had the fish platter) amazingly good with a great ambiance. So pleased we showed our Northumberland cuisine to our Southern guests of course they now want to live in God’s Country.

Excellent food, I made the wrong choice of starter- the smoked haddock chowder was a too large portion for an elderly appetite! Other selection of dishes amongst the four or us were all very good. Seat by the wood burning stove was great on such a cold day. Lovely venue with several smallish seating areas. Very welcoming staff.
