A Family Tradition for Over 90 YearsMrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tearoom. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes. Every complete chicken dinner includes handmade biscuits, cup of soup, side salad/and or cherry rhubarb, four pieces of fried chicken with mashed potatoes smothered and a choice between corn or cabbage. For dessert: choose between Boysenberry or Apple pie. We offer other dishes such as Roasted Chicken, Specialty Salads, Salmon, and a number of appetizers.     Unique and adorable place for tea, although me and my son had breakfast, we’ll be back for the Tea service. Only downside was that they didn’t serve lunch till 3pm on Saturday. They had Mediterranean skewers on the menu that sounded delicious but I was unable to order. My son ordered bacon eggs Benedict,the eggs were cooked to perfection and the hollandaise was spot on. I ordered the chile verde, eggs and tortillas. Pork was tender and sauce was flavorful. We split the French toast with strawberry compote. Perfectly cooked! (could have used a tad bit more compote)atmosphere was perfect.

    Mrs. Knott's is the place to go for chicken whether you're going to the park for the day or just out for a great meal. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I would recommend Mrs. Knott's anytime you're in the Buena Park area and want a meal that reminds you of home.

    We where there celebrating a Birthday and it was group of 9 and we all agreed that everything was absolutely delicious especially the pretty drinks! We will all be going again. They definitely made it extra special!
