My experience was extraordinary, I actually am having trouble putting it into words. Ember and Elm have really embodied Dolly Parton's spirit. We went there for our 26th wedding anniversary, we missed our 25th because my husband has a terminal illness. We were seated early and the ambiance was so quiet and lovely. Our server Kristin came over right away and just started talking about why we were there, and what we were celebrating. We ordered an appetizer and our meal at the same time but they brought it out separately, allowing us to enjoy the appetizer first. After we were finished eating our meal they surprised us by bringing out a full cake beautifully decorated with silver accents, and a butterfly and roses with some balloons. Then we were surprised again that when we asked Kristin for the bill, she said that it had been taken care of. I was brought to tears, happy tears yet bittersweet When Kristin saw my reaction she sat down next to me and hugged me and I told her that they really embodied Dolly's spirit by their generosity and kindness, and then she was moved to tears. So my experience was not like any other that I've had anywhere else.

There was an issue with their access to the online reservations, but we were still able to get seated very quickly! The service was fast and friendly, and the food was great! The Black Forest Cake is absolutely amazing. We are going to try to visit again before our trip ends.
