As always, La Posta did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the service was efficient and friendly, and the ambiance was relaxed.

I had the lamb shank and it literally fell off the bone - tender and very tasty. Partner had the lamb pasta dish and loved it. The patio is a magic place and we actually got a parking spot in front.

Great place to view iconic SC wharf and Boardwalk. Menu is varied and modern. Service was friendly but had to ask for water refills and was never offered refills on soft drinks. At $6, one should expect automatic refills when glass is 80% empty, or at least ask. Prices were otherwise in line with what is expected at seaside resort establishments. Clearing of dishes was slow. First course empty dishes were left throughout main course dining making the table crowded and slightly unpleasant. Great historical photos of the namesake on the walls and modern decor.

My partner and I drove down to Santa Cruz for the weekend and was looking for a casual date night restaurant as we were celebrating our anniversary this weekend. I came across this restaurant and saw bad reviews regarding the staffing and etc. But, yet still had amazing reviews on the food. So we thought to try it out as the place looked nice. We go ahead with the reservation, upon arrival there is a very convenient parking garage right next to it, yay to that! We go inside the hostess approches us in a kind manner giving us an option of a small table or a booth which thought was cool. Right away as we sat down our server of the night got our drinks started per usual. Food came next, which was SO delicious! I would like to point out their bandido drink is strong and not sure if all they're drinks are strong as is? Not sure but overall the waitress, the ambiance, the food, everything about this restaurant was perfect for a Friday night dinner!! Will definitely recommend to others that plan on heading to Santa Cruz 😊

We made reservations, which made selecting a good table by the window easier. The server promptly took our drinks orders so we could take advantage of the last few minutes of Happy Hour, which was kind. Three of us had the fesh halibut with a pineapple relish served on fragrant rice with a bed of lightly sautéed kale. The fish was well prepared and moist. We found the menu to offer a good selection of food, and the service and ambience were pleasant. I have stayed near the restaurant many times but never eaten here. I will be back!
