I had the fish fry and liked the beer battered pike the best. The trout cake was very interesting and smoky. The crispy pickerel wing was just that - crispy, and really needed the lemon and tartar sauce provided. I had the veggie terrine, which was a new dish and exciting dish for me - cold and super flavourful with really excellent textures and served with a pleasant salad. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was warm and incredibly rich with a very tasty little spoonful of ice cream.

The service was great. The meal was delicious. We liked the dynamite roll and spinach dip appetizers. The burger was great and the kung poa chicken was hot and delicious. Didn’t have room for dessert. We found the prices to be high.

Aways go for the kale bacon salad, the vegetarian pizza WITH sausage mmmm and the chile oil… oh and tonights lamb meatballs were great. Don’t finish without getting an affogatto!! Very attentive service!

Oh my goodness!!! What an amazing dining experience! From the help I received from Michael in planning this Reunion that I hosted for 12 friends from all over western Canada to the amazing perfectly prepared and served dinner, the entire evening was absolutely perfect! Although Taverna has been operating in Saskatoon for several years, this was our first visit since it was renovated. We were quite impressed with the open, airy atmosphere created by the renovations, and our cordial, attentive waitress. The warm olive appetizer and focacia were excellent and our pasta entries were both delicious and plentiful.
