- EEarlPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined todayTook my girlfriend here for dinner older building but looks beautiful inside. Waiter was excellent mentioned her birthday was kind and helpful. Had drinks that were great I had the Hamilton Mule She had a sangria drink. Tried the wings as a starter they where excellent don’t look at them as just wings not everyone can make a good wing. Had good texture fried to perfection not real greasy and the sauce was great. Entrées I had the scallops over black pepper grits She had sushi the caterpillar roll both were excellent.More infoThe HamiltonPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.7
- NNewmanWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoBolade and Chris took amazing care of us on our date night. It was our first time at the restaurant and we definitely enjoyed our experience. The live music accompanied by the Christmas decor added to the ambiance. Thank you all for the great time. Will be telling people about it all!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.5
- LLynnevipWashington, D.C. Area •96 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoSuperb dining experience. Excellent service - friendly and pleasant, but not at all intrusive. Always there if we needed something, but not interfering at all. Nice pacing of food. Two of us shared seven small plates - beet salad, kolokitokeftedes and shrimp dish were standouts, but everything was quite good. We were so full we hesitated on dessert, but were glad in the end we chose to share the warm chocolate cake with mastic ice cream. A nice Greek take on vanilla ice cream that really complemented the cake. Turkish coffee was excellent and delivered in style. We weren't rushed, we loved the dining experience and ambiance and will be happy to return.More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
- BBillVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoNeed I say more when you mention the name "Gordon Ramsey"? But, there are a few things to consider when visiting. Yes the service is impeccable and the food outstanding but there's more to it than just those two things when visiting a restaurant and a higher scale one at that. We eat out a lot and at many levels of types of restaurants but make sure to check what you get charged for. For instance, no one wants sink water to drink and to "trick" you into getting bottled water to drink just isn't right. Charge me for a small bottle, fine but to be asked if you'd like bottled water then they come out with a giant glass bottle and charge you $9 for it is absurd and we only barely drank any (there's only 2 of us by the way). We didn't even have any alcohol either and we got socked for $11 each for a glass of lychee flavored soda on top of the $9 dollar bottle of water we didn't drink. Next none of the entrees come with barely anything else so when you ask for one from the menu, out comes a small thin-rimmed dish of potatoes that you could finish in a few bites for $15. Yes, I planned on paying a lil more of course for the name and the service and good food, but $74 for a small baseball-sized beef Wellington? Oh the dessert? $15 for a 2"x4" rectangle of cheesecake with a few blueberries. Really? What the kicker was the fact that they charged us an additional 20% service charge of the subtotal which came to $271.00. Add that service charge and your bill is now $352.30. Tax is in there as well ($27.10) but there was NO need for that service charge and you haven't even tipped yet. Are you kidding me? Total paid including tip was $432.30! Yes I can easily pay for this 30 times over and I still tipped my server $80 but that's so not the point. If you want the business especially in this day and age, DON'T take advantage like that!More infoGordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Southwest Waterfront•4.5
- SSusanWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoReuniting with a former colleague, I felt satisfied that the menu (gluten-free, etc.) would please her—and it did. The thoughtful wait staff members were attentive but not hovering. We both enjoyed the soups and salads and even lingered over cups of cappuccino. The week prior, I enjoyed a similar experience with another out of town friend. Well done!More infoOld Ebbitt GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8
