Restaurants near Downtown Market Asheville

my husband and I had one of the best meals we’ve ever had at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service was absolutely exceptional. They made us feel so special and we will be recommending this place to everyone we know! 

Of all the Asheville restaurants we visited, this was the best. The food was great and the restaurant was not noisy. I especially liked the ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was unusual and creative (and utterly delicious)!

We were delighted with everything - even how good our leftovers were the next day. We ordered the meatball pasta and mushroom pasta - unusually fabulous. The sourdough loaf was spectacular. Even so, the shining star of the meal was the Caesar Salad, which we shared, as it was huge. We will go back even if only for the salad alone. MEMORABLE!

Asheville Proper was the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The pre-dinner cocktails were on point and set the tone for the evening. We chose the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing, and we’re so glad we did. Everything was delicious, and the pacing of each course was perfect. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the entire evening felt special. We’ll definitely be going back!

We picked this restaurant because of the views and it did not disappoint. The food was also delicious - you must try the empanadas! - and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. We were visiting from Ohio and this was one of our best meals of the trip.
