Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season.     First time there, we loved it. We brought our pup, sat outside on the patio. Wonderful selection of food - apps, salads, entrees, all of it. And our server was very sweet, thoughtful, and just attentive enough. We’re visiting from out of town and going back again tonight - just too good!

    Service was excellent. Food was very, very good. Great filet; cook perfectly with the right amount of seasoned crust. Mushrooms a bit too wet in the dish. Crème Brûlée was not covered in sugar crust but had just the right amount of crunch and custard was excellent. Atmosphere was modern/clean/tasteful, but has the downtown business lunch, client dinner vibe.

    Cool environment, amazing food and service was good! I had put that it was our anniversary on my reservation, no mention of it, but that's minor. THE FOOD -- the French Onion Soup is to die for. The goat cheese ravioli with pecan pesto is unreal. You can't go wrong with anything here!
