I had the fish fry and liked the beer battered pike the best. The trout cake was very interesting and smoky. The crispy pickerel wing was just that - crispy, and really needed the lemon and tartar sauce provided. I had the veggie terrine, which was a new dish and exciting dish for me - cold and super flavourful with really excellent textures and served with a pleasant salad. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was warm and incredibly rich with a very tasty little spoonful of ice cream.

The service was great. The meal was delicious. We liked the dynamite roll and spinach dip appetizers. The burger was great and the kung poa chicken was hot and delicious. Didn’t have room for dessert. We found the prices to be high.

Oh my goodness!!! What an amazing dining experience! From the help I received from Michael in planning this Reunion that I hosted for 12 friends from all over western Canada to the amazing perfectly prepared and served dinner, the entire evening was absolutely perfect! An evening to remember with fondness. Thank you so very much!! 🌿

Although Taverna has been operating in Saskatoon for several years, this was our first visit since it was renovated. We were quite impressed with the open, airy atmosphere created by the renovations, and our cordial, attentive waitress. The warm olive appetizer and focacia were excellent and our pasta entries were both delicious and plentiful.

After spending a very long season in the remote wilderness of Northern Saskatchewan being severely short staffed and overworked I was looking forward to Lil Grouse on the Prairie being the first meal that I wasn’t cooking. And they did not disappoint. My coworkers and I had the 7 courses family style meal and I took the wine pairing to go along with my dinner. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the knowledge of wine the server had was delightful. Thank you for a great first night out in months. Cheers with kitchen beers. 🍻
