Restaurants near Oliver Cromwell's House

Another great evening in this lovely restaurant. The menu always has me thinking what to have because it’s all so nice.

I have eaten steaks all over the world. The steaks in this restaurant are outstanding, full of flavour, cooked to perfection, every mouthful a delight. I live in Hertfordshire so travelling to Ely is an hour away but the thought of one of their steaks makes the journey worthwhile. The staff are friendly, attentive and efficient, doing their very best to please their customers. There is a good choice of wines. The scallop starter is gorgeous - scallops cooked in a yummy sauce to perfection under a puff pastry crust. The sides are full of flavour and great compliments to the main courses. I am not a chip lover but the chips at this restaurant could convert me. Will definitely be back - I say to you - What's not to like.

The staff were very friendly and the service was superb. We had one of the specials as recommended by our server, and it was delicious (Japanese Chicken Chuka Tare). It was lovely and relaxed - and would highly recommend.

Food was very good but the pub was very busy, as it was a Christmas market day and took a long time to come….. the staff were very pleasant we would definitely book again.
