- DDarLisaNew Orleans / Louisiana •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI can absolutely see 34 becoming a staple for me in New Orleans. The ambience and décor are stunning—elevated yet welcoming—and the wine selection is vast, featuring an impressive array of Portuguese options that perfectly complement the menu’s influences. The dishes are packed with fresh, vibrant flavors. We started with the freshly baked breads served with homemade butter—an incredible way to begin the meal. The carrots with pine nut cream offered great flavor, though I would have preferred them served warm. The bifana sandwich was hearty with bold flavors, though slightly on the salty side. The Shrimp San Miguel was a standout for me: rich, flavorful, and simply impeccable. My friends ordered the crudo and quite literally left no crumbs. We also shared the paella, served family-style. Its presentation was gorgeous, but the flavors fell a bit short, and there was a mix-up with a dietary preference. However, the manager addressed it promptly and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The whole fish was another highlight of the night—my table thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, the pineapple pain perdu with pineapple rum caramel sauce was phenomenal; I’d return just for that. The passion fruit gelato was refreshing and delicious, while the chocolate mousse cake was decadent and satisfying. But the true star of the evening was Joe Witkowski, the dining room manager. Joe was attentive, personable, and genuinely passionate about creating an exceptional dining experience. From thoughtful recommendations to his unmatched service, he turned what could have been an ordinary evening into a memorable one. His warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression and are a big part of why I’ll be returning to 34 and singing its praises to anyone who’ll listen. If you visit, make sure to stop by and meet Joe—although I’m confident he’ll find his way to your table to ensure your experience exceeds expectations.More info34 Restaurant & BarPrice: Very Expensive• Portuguese• Central Business District•4.6

- CChristinNew Orleans / Louisiana •16 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoThe ambiance, vibes, decor…10/10! The drinks…10/10! The food was not good AT ALL! The tortilla soup tasted like absolutely nothing. It wasn’t seasoned well. The elote wasn’t good. The broccolini was borderline nasty, but okay. It has this smoked taste that isn’t appeasing. The birria tacos would have been good if they came out hot. There was no cheese pull, which should explain that. The tacos de asada were pretty good. No wow factor, but it wasn’t nasty like the elote and tortilla soup. Now, the black beans and Mexican rice were delicious! Those were the sides that came with the tacos. Overall it’s a no for me to return. The guests with me feel the same!More infoTacos del CartelPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Central Business District•4.6

- JJayNew Orleans / Louisiana •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024We went for the Thanksgiving experience. We had a reservation for 3 but had 5 ppl and they accommodated us without any issues. The waiter and staff were all very nice and professional. Food took a while to come out but that is to be expected on Thanksgiving day. Dishes were creative and fun. All in all it was a really great experience!More infoCommons Club Bar & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Southern• Central Business District•4.5
