The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

Located in a historic auction house on India St we did a full comprehensive restoration of the building, with three open-air culinary hubs featuring an expansive raw bar, chefs table, and bakery. We tried to be mindful of the past while looking towards the future. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks.Ironside is now taking reservations for patio and dining room seating. We went here to celebrate a milestone birthday last night and it was absolutely fabulous! Our waiter Jacob was amazing and so attentive! The cocktails left room to be desired but the food was OUTSTANDING! We had the filet with peppercorn sauce and the crab add on, the fish of the day( halibut) and for sides we had macaroni and cheese (you must order) and broccolini. For dessert we had the chocolate cake and they brought over a complementary macaron with a birthday candle. Overall a 10/10 experience and we will be back next time we visit San Diego!

First time having dinner here to celebrate a birthday. The food, service and ambiance was great! Especially if you love music and modern architecture. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive and so was the runner to ensure the birthday individual was recognized and celebrated. Definitely coming back!

Everything was perfect in restaurant: ambiance, service and food all excellent. except for an extremely loud noisy table of 6 nearby. Which made very difficult to even talk to each other. And kind of put a damper on our birthday dinner. It would have been nice if management asked them respectfully to tone it down. But we will definitely return.

I'm almost afraid to call this a hidden gem -- but it is a hidden gem of San Diego. The outdoor seating is so lovely. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. I so enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend the Sea Bass. This is a fantastic start to a show at the Old Globe. We forget that it is here -- but something to absolutely enjoy.

We had an incredible meal - tuna tartare and roasted oysters with bone marrow to start, then the gnocchi and gemelli with roasted mushrooms. I’d order everything again! Food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding. Our table was under the open roof section and had lovely ambiance. We were celebrating our anniversary and we had such a lovely experience.
