Now celebrating 25 years, Chocolate the Restaurant provides an attractive dining environment for couples on dates, friendly meetings, and special occasion meals. Dine outside on the heated garden patio. Celebrate special occasions with up to 25 guests in the private street-side party room. Maybe start with a Chocolate Martini or a Passion Fruit Margarita. Chef David Jackman's fresh baked pasta rosettes, slow-roasted meats, and delicious seasonal organic vegetable dishes are all a prelude to our many chocolaty desserts.     Exceptional food and service in a friendly, white table cloth, intimate setting. Value cannot be surpassed. We have been celebrating special occasions there since moving to Santa Cruz 15 years ago. Have the Calamari Steak Almondine. Water Street Grill is a hidden Gem.

    Excellent meal. Our first time here and won’t be the last. We’ve recently moved into the area. We’ve been unimpressed with most of the local restaurants. Their food was ok but nothing above average. We’ve been trying different restaurants. What a plenty surprise to find Adorable French bakery and bistro. Food was well prepared. Ample tasty portions. Duck confit and eggplant tart melted in your mouth. Delicious apple tart dessert. First time in a long time where we had espresso which wasn’t bitter. Very pleasant and entertaining conversation with the individual who seemed to function as a one man show…manager/ Barman/ waiter. A little disappointed that some menu items were not available but what we ordered proved that we missed nothing.
