    We had a lovely celebration of our 51st anniversary. We were warmly welcomed and congratulated and taken to a window table overlooking the harbour and the whole city. Our waiter Kevin M. was friendly and attentive. The dinner was delicious…both appetizers and main courses went well with our bottle of bubbly. The wine and dine special was a great deal and the complimentary dessert for our celebration a nice surprise. We were very happy to have chosen Vista 18 for our special dinner and memories.

    This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We were in Victoria on a day-long tour and made a point to fit in tea at The Empress. The hotel is magnificent and the tea is an experience matched to the hotel's reputation and grandeur. Our server (Lorne) has been serving tea at The Empress for more than 30 years and he was simply the best-- so pleasant with many fun anecdotes to share for his years in the job. The tea itself was, of course, excellent. And the food was top notch. I've had tea at many fine hotels around the world and this one was very near the top of my list!
