All our dishes follow a philosophy of healthy cooking based on traditional methods and a chronological order using the right measure of farm fresh ingredients to create Le Raj signature dishes.
Sunday lunch. Brother’s birthday. Food was delicious. Only two other people in restaurant. We kept our distance 😀
went for a friends birthday, food was unreal and service was spot on 🥰 well worth the money
The food at Le Raj cannot be praised highly enough - always flavoursome and fresh tasting. Staff are very engaging and know their stuff! High end Indian cuisine at excellent prices. A true local gem
A very authentic Indian restaurant with delicately flavoured food of the highest quality. Very enjoyable indeed.
Everything was good but my prawns were rather chewey and didn’t taste very nice.
On the other hand service, attention and the other meals were all fine. The restaurant itself is terrific.
Valentines Day Dinner the staff were very attentive even though they were exceptionally busy.
Lovely evening! New to the area and had been recommended
They were a little understaffed but we didn’t mind as the food was fantastic the staff were very polite and welcoming and the atmosphere was great
Highly recommend we will be back!
Le Raj never lets you down! Food is superb and innovative, staff are engaging and on this particular busy Saturday evening service was very good. Hidden gem in Epsom that curry connoisseurs should put on their go to list!
Lovely meal on Saturday. Took time to get to the table and serve the food. We had to aske where the startes were but lovely flavours.
Delicious food, light and tasty and different. Great service, we had a lovely evening with friends.
Fabulous food (and everything else), as always. It’s why we keep going back.
A very agreeable meal on new years eve. Restaurant not as full as previous years, maybe this is because Le Raj opened their doors earlier this year to cater more for families, this meant the normal 9 O'clock manic rush didn't materialise. The service on this occasion was good, but the food as always was very good.
Le Raj delivers every time! The food is fresh tasting and inventive with spices and combinations. The staff were attentive and friendly. A little find in Epsom that could stand shoulder high with any west end restaurant and give them a run for their money
Excellent Indian restaurant that has a refined palate. You can still get a hot hit if required as the Naga chicken tikka proves, this starter takes no prisoners. But overall the food is like the restaurant, sophisticated and elegant.
We enjoyed the whole experience
As ever, the food was delicious and the service impeccable
Le Raj always delivers fresh clean tasting innovative dishes - you will struggle to find stock Indian favourites on their menu. This then makes you read the descriptions and choose outside of your comfort zone & you are unlikely to regret your choice. The service is always friendly & professional. High quality food befitting of a London restaurant in Surrey and at a reasonable cost.
Mid-week and the restaurant fairly quite with only a few tables occupied. So no surprise the service was very good. Food was excellent, the naga chilli chicken starter was fiery hot but succulent and both the main courses which followed were equally as good.
A cut above your regular Indian.
Le Raj has a delicious menu, with many dishes you won't get elsewhere, and the classics, but taken to a new level.
Four dined on the hottest day of the year so far, this was probably why the restaurant was on the quite side. However with the kitchen being a little less hectic than normal produced four meals of the highest order.
Booked this last minute after a day at Epsom Derby. What a delight! Superb friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and amazing food! We will certainly book again for next year!
Excellent quality meal served in comfortable surroundings. The service has improved over the years but on occasions can still be a bit hit or miss especially if the restaurant is on the busy side.
Great food, lovely ambience, friendly staff. Service can be a little slow but we forgive that for all the other qualities. We return again and again.
We’ve been to le raj a few times with friends. The food is generally very good but the dessert this time was absolutely dreadful for both my husband and myself. Service was ok a little slow but not the end of the world. I do find it very overpriced for what it is though.
Fabulous as always. A great way to spend a birthday and introduce a new patron to Le Raj. Keep up the excellent work. We will be back soon.
Mother’s Day dinner. Lively food and service as usual
Indian fine dinning in Epsom. An excellent three courses was had by my party. I started with the Naga chicken tikka which was refreshingly hot and spicy, the chicken main was perfectly cooked whilst the Pistachio Kulfi pudding was rich and creamy as it should be.
We went at a lunch time. We were the only customers. So the ambience was very quiet, but with nice background music. The waiters were very nice. The food was good, but have had better. Quite pricey.
The food is delicious, of good proportion and well presented.
Very attentive staff without being overwhelming who picked up on our needs quickly without any fuss.
An extremely pleasant evening with my wife and recommended for romantic dinners
Valentines meal - their set menu was exceptionally goid!
Le Raj never fails to deliver in food quality. It’s been said over and over but this restaurant would sit alongside the best in London and give them a run for their money. The dishes are fresh & innovative although if you look hard in the extensive menu you can find an old favourite or too. Service is efficient and friendly enough without being intrusive.
First visit for a while and it was as we remembered. Comfortable with subdued lighting, good service and good food. Not the cheapest but good quality.
The appearance and the presentation is excellent but the quality of the food is very poor and a dramatic change since my last visit. The meat is very tough, served cold and the curries are all the same and taste unpleasant. What a shame.
Food as expected was very good, my wife went for a Beghan Lamb whilst I went for a chicken dish that uses only the under fillets of the chicken. Heed the chilli references as some of the dishes can be quite feisty. All in all another good meal taken in a restaurant that is very pleasing to the eye.
Excellent as always x
We did not go as were called by the restuarant after we made the booking to say they did not have a table for us at that time and we could just turn up later at 8.45pm onwards and they would see if they could fit us in. Such a shame as we were looking forward to this
Quiet Sunday evening service and confronted with an extensive menu with the latest curry options available decided to go old school and order dishes that have been the mainstay of Indian restaurants over the years. Both dishes were excellent, just proves that every once in a while the old style curries are definitely worth revisiting.
Overall we had an enjoyable evening but I’m not convinced this is everything it’s advertised as. The staff were friendly and the food was good relative to the restaurants in the area. That said this restaurant does pitch itself as being something above the norm. That’s true for the immediate area but there are much better Indian restaurants in London and for not a great deal more money.
Have eaten at Le Raj once before and the food was good, possibly not great value but was atleast good tasting food.
My recent visit was not the same, unfortunately the food was lacking flavour and did not represent value for money even at half the price paid.
Will not be going back
A mid week visit to Le Raj and as ever the food was fresh authentic flavours, well presented - a delight to eat. Service was good too.
Nice food. Nice service
