The food was all top quality, thoughtfully prepared. Lots of unfamiliar dishes. Great options for draft beer and wine by the glass. The food came out at a brisk pace and the service was very attentive and helpful.

First time dining here and we were so impressed. From the moment we walked in our host simply took care of everything …Meredith was our primary server, but the others who were bringing our food and removing plates were remarkable and awesome too. We hope to come back when Philly. It is a cucina oasis! (Also, it was so good I even bought a Le Virtù t-shirt). Many thanks!

The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance delightful. I would recommend Le Virtu to anyone looking for a lovely evening in vibrant East Passyunk. My friend and I shared a radicchio salad with a wonderful vinaigrette, screppelle that were floating off the plate with crisp, slightly browned edges and terrific house-made gelato. Buonissimo! The food was a mixed bag. my wife had the hat noodles with mushrooms which was very good. I had the lamb with was not great. It was meat on the bone (mostly bone and little meat). Very fatty. The sauce was good but there was almost nothing else there. A few olives and a couple if peppers but that was it.

Had a great meal while in town for the night. Inventive cocktails, loved the olive appetizer and shared the pasta special - all delicious. The brodetto and chicken entrees were tasty. Loved the dessert options!

The menu is full of inventive dishes that they prepare wonderfully. The staff works well as a team, and we were never left wanting for anything. Our table was situated on their back patio, something that would normally be a pleasant experience since it was a little more spacious than the normal city dining experience, but I couldn't help but feel that the whole area felt like a homeowners DIY project. It was a simple brick patio with an old awning. I shouldn't get to take away a star for it because I happen to be a snob and design outdoor spaces for a living. However, it's my review and they literally perfected everything else - so why not keep them humble? 😉 Oh, also... the value wasn't there - but you don't dine at a place like this for value. You dine here for the friendly staff, creative dishes, and relaxation.

Absolutely love! My sister in law and I go every time we are in town. They are super accommodating to her food allergies (tree nuts) and their food is AMAZING. Highly recommend to anyone in the mood for very yummy Italian cuisine and even better service!

took one star off ambiance because there was a large food truck parked immediately in front of the restaurant running a loud generator the entire evening. However, the staff seamlessly moved our reservation indoors and guided us to window seats. A really special restaurant that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic Italian cuisine.

Service at le Virtu is excellent. Our server answered our questions and made good recommendations. The two of us shared the arugula salad, a pasta dish, a crepe entree and pistachio gelato, all of which were delicious and made with top notch ingredients.

Excellent meal. From making the reservation (easy) to arrival all went well. And the setting (a beautiful summer evening, amazing outdoor seating in a remarkable courtyard away from the street and with flowers and a lovely tent cover, and well-spaced tables so that noise was no issue) was incredible. The mural that sets the tone on one wall is also notable. Then there was the food. Interesting, delicious, and varied. All good. There were four of us; each ordered something different. Every dish was fantastic. Pastas were yummy (alla Mugnaia, little hats with mushroom sauce, and small sheets with sausage ragu') as was the roast pork on roasted greens. The service was comfortable, calm, incredibly professional but with a light touch. A great dinner at a great place.

Top notch as always ! the bombette was amazing ! My wife loved her mushroom pasta dish so much ! as a matter of fact, everything we had was great. I was a little hesitant to try the Calabrian wine, but it ended up being better than my Brunello that I had just opened up at home . so nice to sit outside. it was a beautiful evening we will be back.

Everyone was courteous, friendly, helpful, & honest from the moment we walked up to the host. He knew the weather patterns in case it was better for us to sit indoors (it was!). Recommended dishes were spot on…. Everything was friendly & easy, like a neighborhood place should be, but the food was perfection. As I am Abruzzese, I can make that statement with some authority; it was truly reminiscent of Grandmom’s on Sundays in West Philadelphia!
