Level was established as a locals first atmosphere with welcoming attitudes to all. The cocktails are all handcrafted with fresh juices, mixes, and garnishes. One of the many things that makes us unique is our ability and commitment to source as many fresh ingredients locally from the State of Maryland and surrounding markets. We are dedicated to supporting the area small businesses, watermen, farmers, and the environment on a local and global level. Our small plates style of dining encourages this sense of community and sharing. Level is located on the second block of West Street known as the Arts District.

My husband and I went to level for the first time for my birthday and we can’t wait to come back! They made my birthday feel special even during a pandemic! The food was delicious and as someone who is gluten free it was so nice that they were so accommodating! Our server was amazing and I wish I could remember her name.

Tried Level for the first time after a recommendation from a client. The food is excellent!!! Unfortunately, the ambiance could improve with the lighting lowered a bit but I must say, what the kitchen cranks out will make me come back again. I would recommend this restaurant.

We were outside. There was a tent which was helpful since it started to rain. Amazing food and drinks, we really enjoyed our whole experience. My favorite dishes were the chorizo dip, the mushroom salad (oh my god so good!) and the sous vide flank steak.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy or visit here at all. Customer service and ambiance were ok, but that was the end of it for us. We did not care for the food or drink and felt like the food was overpriced for the quality we received.
Charcuterie board - when this was brought to us there was no explanation about what was what, so we had to figure that out on our own, which was not a problem. Everything on that board looked like things you could easily purchase at whole foods and we have indeed purchased two of the cheeses there.
The brussel sprouts and octopus dishes were both very oily and due to the smell of the octopus, we could not eat it.
Nashville hot chicken – this was the biggest disappointment of the evening. We received four 1.5-inch discs of fried thigh pieces smothered in buffalo sauce and a corn muffin. I’ve never had Nashville fried chicken with buffalo sauce, I could have gone to any fast food spot for that.
We came here for a cocktail experience, but the cocktail menu was very limited and lacked creativity. There were several drinks made with house made ginger beer, so if you weren’t in the mood for ginger you were SOL. We had a gin drink that was ok at best.
Overall this was a very disappointing experience for us, we left here hungry and thirsty and full of regret. Needless to say we will not be trying this spot again.

My friend and I went to Levels because we wanted a variety of plates to share. We ordered the fries that were supposed to be tossed in rosemary, thyme and garlic oil. They came out with nothing so we pointed it out to the server and she took back. The manager came out and said “sorry” we are out of herbs”. My only comment is that the waiter should have known that and communicated to us when we ordered so we could make that decision prior to receiving. All other food we did get was amazing!!

I've been eating at Level for several years now, and I've yet to have anything other than a great meal. Service is sometimes uneven, but the kitchen's creativity and execution are always rock-solid. Korean meat wraps are messy and worth it, the scallops are perfectly turned out, and the raw tuna - usually a disappointing cliché at most restaurants - is absolutely delicious. A few things to nitpick: it would be nice to have a straightforward salad on the menu. Also, why aren't there any draft beer offerings? If you like "craft cocktails," their offerings will blow you away in terms of creativity, but it would be nice to balance those out with a few familiar classics. Overall though: this is one of the best restaurants on Annapolis' main strip, and its consistency is the mark of a great restaurant.

Fantastic food. Ordered way too much because there were so many good choices, and none of them disappointed. We have two small kids who can be picky eaters and they enjoyed everything they had to eat as well. Service was great. Very happy we chose to go here for dinner.

Spectacular meal and service! Level is definitely in our top 5 Annapolis dining choices.
We made a 5-person reservation for a birthday dinner, were seated immediately, and had a wonderful time!
Tapas style dining is our preferred experience, as it permits the most sharing and variety. Octopus, seafood charcuterie, cheese plate, cauliflower, and many more were all lovingly devoured.
The bar makes a wonderful set of house cocktails, my favorite being the scotch.
And, our server, apparently working there over 3 years, succeeded in helping us enjoy every moment.
Thanks very much for a wonderful time!

My wife and I went for my birthday. They gave us a great table by the window. The service was attentive and excellent, and the food was great. We've been here several times before and have always liked it, but this time was really extra good.

Everything we ordered was amazing - one of the best meals we've had in a long time! Someone in our party has a gluten allergy and staff was very knowledgeable and many options were provided. The octopus with pickled vegetables was our favorite, but everything we tried was fantastic. My one small complaint was that some dishes came with only one piece on them (for example, the octopus) - while I know the concept is small plates, if they are advertising that it is a shareable dish I would expect at least two pieces - especially when that dish in particular was $13 for essentially one tentacle. However, it was delicious!

Love the mushroom salad every time we go. Had the Mediterranean hummus plate, and the seafood charcuterie which were all delicious. For two people that was plenty of food and we had leftovers. We both also had the Angles and Demons drink (all time favorite).

The fare was excellent at Level and the "Angels and Demons" cocktail was one of the best I've ever had. The food was prompt and delicious, especially the seafood charcuterie. The service was good overall, but when I asked whether there was a more extensive beer list, the waiter was a bit snooty about Level being a high-end cocktail bar, not an ale house. The other servers seemed similarly cold and did not make eye contact or seemed uncomfortable. The hostesses also seemed very inexperienced and I witnessed one situation where the hostess rushed to seat a party but did not wait for them, and they could barely follow - one was an elderly man who had difficulty climbing the stairs, and the other was a woman who was trying to see where the hostess was going at the same time as waiting for the man and helping him find the table. The hostess seemed oblivious and did not wait for both people to reach the table before she left. Overall the food and cocktail made the visit worthwhile, but Level should really work on training their servers and hosts a bit better.

This is our favorite restaurant in Annapolis. The "small plates" format make it great to try a lot of different dishes although I will say that it is hard to choose because everything is excellent. The menu is sourced locally so everything is fresh. The seafood is excellent, and the vegetable dishes are inspired and unique (hint: try the brussels sprouts!). The staff are also terrific and are friendly and ready to help with recommendations. A few doors down from Rams Head makes it a great pre-show dinner spot (or any other occasion for that matter). This is always our first stop for dinner in Annapolis and you'll be very pleased if you make Level your choice.

I’ve been to Level on weeknights before and the food and service are usually quite good. This time I went on a weekend evening and was disappointed with the poor execution of menu items, mostly in the form of little to no seasoning. Also, for a restaurant that touts serving what’s locally available, the menu scarcely makes noticeable change with the seasons.

Took my husband for his birthday. We like to hop around dta and since Level is one of our favorites, it was our first stop. We ordered the special drink of the evening, the Lavender whiskey sour and a classic cocktail called The Last Word. Both were made perfectly but we especially enjoyed the lavender whiskey sour. The presentation is always amazingly beautiful, like a piece of art. We loved the new Instagram contest shared with the cards on the table. I took a video of our second round of drinks to share for that contest, your famous gimlets. It made our experience more interactive and different from the normal dinning experience. I love coming in for the tuna appetizer and was looking forward to having it again this time since I am no longer pregnant and can enjoy raw fish again. Sadly they were sold out for the day. This got us trying the crab and avocado appetizer which was equally tasty and unique. I recommend this appetizer for those who like seafood with a twist. We also got the pork egg rolls which were good but not as show stopping as the crab dish. I would have stayed for more but it was my husbands birthday and we did what he wanted for once hehe. Thanks Level for your amazing food and also pleasant service. Your hostesses are so sweet and welcoming. The server we had that night was very knowledgeable and assistive when replacing the tuna appetizer with the crab. He was right on! I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out. I remember he had a nose ring and dark hair. As we left that evening, one of the managers also gave us a positive send off- good evening. Thanks for the positive vibes all around. I’ll be back for that tuna soon!
