Always a great dining experience at Lighthouse Sound. A group of 6 of went, just because, no special reason needed to dine here. Andrew, our server, was excellent and all our meals were perfectly prepared. We will be dining here more often.
The Lighthouse Sound Restaurant is head and shoulders above any other fine dining restaurant in the area. The ambiance is absolutely spectacular. The food and service are superlative. My wife and I have come here for two anniversaries and hope to get back for a "non-special" occasion, like, say, a Wednesday. Its big claim to fame is its great surrounding for weddings and other special events. The scenery and space are both breathtaking. Definitely, the place to go for a romantic dinner, special night out, or just a hankering for real good food.
Enjoyable Evening at Lighthouse Sound. The food was very good and the server/establishment was extremely accommodating. Even allowing us to order some sides that were not on the limited NYE menu.
The only negative would be that the menu was limited for NYE... We are not fans of limited or prix fixed menus...
But it was a nice evening, a nice restaurant, good food and a good server...
An elegant setting, attentive, and kind staff. Beautiful setting
We had a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed the delicious food including the cream of crab soup and filet special. Stephen, our server, was just incredible. Will definitely return!
We want to thank Steve and Stephanie for making our anniversary dinner just perfect!! We couldn’t have ask for a better night. Thank you!!
Our dining experience was wonderful. The service couldn’t have been better- professional and knowledgeable. The potatoes au gratin were scrumptious. Thank you for a most enjoyable anniversary celebration!
It was an amazing Thanksgiving dinner with standard fixings and then some. The waiter Stephan was super attentive, friendly, and efficient (10 stars for him), and tailored to all our needs (4 adults and 2 young kids). We hung out at the outdoor fire pit after the dinner until they closed. Highly recommend! I think we will be back for next year!
Reservations were easy to make. The restaurant has wonderful views and the food was excellent.
Outstanding. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommend.
Dinner was good,, service was good, noise from the bar was overbearing!!!
(Music) cocktail hr music is fine,, when folks are having dinner and have to lean across the table to hear is to much..
Close the door to the bar or something..
It really took away from an otherwise good experience .
Great views, service, ambiance with decent food. I would recommend for celebrating a special occasion (we were celebrating our anniversary) food was good but not outstanding and prices were a good value. They treated us to a complementary glass of Prosecco which was a pleasant surprise.
Was not very happy with the seating when we had reservations and they new this was a special occasion. We were the first to enter the restaurant and with all the open seating we were placed at the window where an outside buffet was happening. In lieu of the river and golf course views we watched the crowds at the buffet along with the staff entering and exiting to refurbish the buffet. It took away from the entire evening.
Awesome lunch with a beautiful view! The food was delicious - we'll definitely be back.
Birthday dinner was great with best water views in the area. Good service and food
Another flawless experience! We are so glad we found this restaurant back in March just before the Covid shutdown. Our server, Maya, will definitely go down as one of our all time favorites anywhere. So very energetic, attentive, and pleasant. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer then moved on the crab soup. Both were excellent but we definitely missed the Lobster Bisque we had back in March. We opted for the Seafood Broil again and as expected, it was perfect. Although stuffed, we topped it off with the Chocolate Brownie for dessert. Our only complaint is we wish this restaurant was closer. It will definitely be a must do for us when we are in Ocean City.
One of the best kept secrets in Ocean City. Good food. Good value. Beautiful view.
Wonderful place to enjoy a good meal and great view. Adam took excellent care of us and the entire group had a relaxing and delicious lunch!
Food and service was great will be going again
Everything was very good. Food was good and so was service. My only issue was I put down that we were celebrating my husband’s birthday on reservations so I thought maybe someone would see that and bring cake to the table but they didn’t. He didn’t seem to mind but it would have been nice.
Great!!!Always a good experience..
The view was beautiful. Our server was very nice. The food was good.
I had reservations for one, at 12:30. At 1 pm I was still waiting for a waitress come to my table to take a order, to take my order. I was the only one except for another family who were there when I arrived. When she finally came i asked for a cup of coffee, she came with it with no condiments, just a glass of black coffee. I had to ask for milk and sugar. Then, I ordered a cup of maryland crab soup, very little crab in it. After another 30 or so min, I walked up to waitress and asked how much longer for soup, she said it takes a long time to heat up, but also admitted it was cooked, so I wondered why so long to heat it up, and advised they can use the microwave for my one cup. Nothing takes that long to heat up unless they are using a candle. Finally over an hour later, food came, meatball hoagie. I watched as other people came in and got service really quick, drinks and more, then their dinners. Did i mention the waitress was M.I.A. most of the time, a man delivered my hoagie, I really expected more from this place, I get better service at Cracker Barrel. Sorry but the whole experience was bad, by the time food came I had to go, I did advise waitress when I asked about the soup, I had an appt. and my order was taking too long, It made not one inch of difference. I mean I could see if they were really busy, but I practically had the whole dining area to myself, and then a few tables outside were filled. very disappointed, vacationer from PA. I come to O.C. M.D. every year. The hotel I stayed at gave a voucher to your place, not worth the almost 2 HR. experience. Vouchers bring in new people, but based on the service they receive, it will not gain you new customers. It is a very good thing, I was not an restaurant critic, for a magazine or newspaper. Ok maybe the waitress was having a bad day, I do not want anyone fired, but your facility should know what happens to prevent it from occurring.
Lisa from PA.
Stephen was our waiter, great service. Food was delicious.
Really enjoyed the food and service was great. I will return!
The restaurant is beautifully located. We selected the restaurant because it was rated as being one of the best locations to watch the sunset on the DE/MD pennisula. Unfortunately, the night we went was very cloudy but we still had an unobstructed view of the Assawoman Bay and the OC skyline.
The best part of our dining experience was the service. Andrew, our waiter was very good. I ordered one of the restaurants specialty cocktails and it tasted terrible. He took it away without any fuss and got me another drink.
I ordered the single broiler cake and my husband ordered the filet. The crab cake was an ok size, kinda of in the smaller size but mainly all lump meat. It was kinda bland, would have preferred some additional seasoning. My husband ordered his filet medium, and however it was cooked more in the well side, which he didn't mind. I would rate the food "good", nothing fancy.
Our total bill with a one drink, one appetizer (small green salad), entrees, dessert and coffee was less than $100 for two which isn't bad these days.
I would definitely consider going back in hopes of catching the setting sun. The restaurant has an entire bank of windows that overlook the bay so I bet it is quite spectacular on a good day.
The receptionist and the wait staff were all very attentive and courtesy.
The only negative was that there was a band playing in the bar and they were kinda loud. Luckily were sitted as far away from them as possible which allowed my husband and I to talk without shouting at each other.
All in allmy husband and I had a very enjoyable meal and evening..
Excellent service from our server Andrew. Food was presently well. Only suggestion for improvement was the high noise level coming from the bar area for the first 45 minutes of the meal. They should find a way to quiet the bar area from the fine dining when there are large gatherings in the bar.
What a great surprise - wonderful and even better service. Had dinner outside with a super views.
Had the cod special. Tasted frozen, not fresh. Eggplant appetizer was very good. Outdoor seating has superb scenery.
Lighthouse Sound has perhaps the best view in the Ocean City area!
We’d just finished golfing and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner afterwards.
This was our first time to Lighthouse Sound - overall it was very very good. The view was spectacular and the restaurant was elegantly decorated. The hostess was very accommodating since we, a party of 6 wanted to sit outside. Our waitress was also very good except she forgot to bring one drink with all the others and it took awhile after the others were served. (it was a Diet Coke) .. and we also needed napkins, utensils and bread plates to start. However, that’s just small stuff and did not take away anything from Our evening. We will definitely be going back.
The food was delicious! My daughter and I split the fried avocado w crab and mango salsa. It was fabulous!! Next time I’m getting one just for myself! My son and his friends for the crab dip - they devoured it. My husband ordered the mussels. - he liked them. I on the other hand did not care for them. Very salty.. our meals we excellent, crab cakes, airline chicken w/ crab risotto, blueberry pork chop and seafood pasta was ordered. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
We did not get dessert - so I can’t comment on that.
One thing, the bugs were starting to come out and biting while we were eating. They didn’t have any citronella for the tables/patio They did have OFF bug spray that they brought so we could spray it on ourselves. Kind of awkward since food was already on the table.
Overall - it was a wonderful evening and we will be going back to Lighthouse Sound. Most likely eating indoors.
A bit disappointed with food. However beautiful views.
Service was outstanding and meals were very good. Menu was very limited and lacked options
Had a very nice dinner!
This was our first visit to Lighthouse Sound and we had a wonderful experience. Cocktails, salad and entrees were all delicious (too full to order dessert). The view eastward across Assawoman bay is amazing.
We will definitely be back.
The ribeye is the best item on the menu. I'm not a big fan of the old school dining where you can pick your side.
The food is outstanding and Lighthouse Sound is still the best secret in the area! Service and views of Ocean City are spectacular! Such a great value!
