First time here and will definitely be back. We were thrilled to find this amazing restaurant open on a Monday! Food was beautifully presented. My salmon dish was delicious- the skin was crispy and tasty on a beet, arugula and goat cheese bed. The wine pairing was perfect. Our server Naomi was very professional and knowledgeable. Wonderful service! Our waitress Sarah did an outstanding job: she was very professional, attentive, observant, but also courteous enough to give us time and privacy. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor, too, and able to engage in friendly yet professional conversation. All other staff (the hostess, other waiters) were extremely professional, greeted us and thanked us for coming when we were leaving, too. The facility is wonderful, the patio very welcoming, the staff made us feel special by asking, for example if we need more or less shade, and offering to take a photo of us. The food was delicious (the only reason I gave it 4 not full 5 stars because there was a bit too much butter melted around my fish and something was tiny bit too salty - might have been one of the wild mushrooms; however, itd definitely eat there again and I will return in the near future!) This indeed is a great place, I highly recommend.

I made a reservation for myself and two friends visiting from Australia. As always, I wasn’t disappointed and my friends loved it…….from the location, the furnishings and the food and service. We shared the charcuterie board for starters and 2 of us had the mussels and clams and the other guest had the halibut. We finished with the cheesecake. The service is always great here but last night it was impeccable with explanation for dishes and checking to make sure we were happy. It’s my go to place for fine dining in Burnaby!

This has been & is one of my favourite restaurants for the past 15 yrs. I went with my family on New Year’s after almost a year later…blame it on the pandemic😊We ordered the house specials…scallops, pate & the soup, as share plates between three of us. The first two were disappointing but the soup was pretty good. We ordered three main courses…my daughter & I shared two of the main courses, which were, lentil based lingcod & crab/lobster bamboo rice dishes. They were ok & felt, it was not to the high standard of this establishment. However, the third main, beef tenderloin was v good. All said & done, this restaurant will remain as one of our favourites & we live in the area.

Bonterra is one of our go-to restaurants, the food is always amazing and the ambience is excellent! I usually go during warmer weather to sit on the best patio in Calgary, but new years day in Calgary is not conducive to dining al fresco :-) so this was my first time dining inside - not as lovely as the patio of course but it was still very nice. The food was so good - there was 6 of us for a birthday dinner and so we were able to try a good variety of items on the menu, everything was well prepared and delicious, and the Bartender's Baby cocktail special was a big hit. Best of all was our server, she was an absolute delight and very attentive and friendly (without overdoing it).

We had a lovely experience on New Year's Day at Victor. Only a few issues where our water glasses weren't topped up on the regular and I had a small filet mignon that was completely burnt on top and bottom which was disappointing for the value of it.
