Would say the service is a bit below standard - not in attentiveness but in the ability of the server to describe the food and lack of personality when they are dedicated to your table for four hours. First time here and will definitely be back. We were thrilled to find this amazing restaurant open on a Monday! Food was beautifully presented. My salmon dish was delicious- the skin was crispy and tasty on a beet, arugula and goat cheese bed. The wine pairing was perfect. Our server Naomi was very professional and knowledgeable. a lot of restaurants in Calgary serve steaks. And why not? Alberta Beef is so good it's remarkable. But I'm a picky, practiced cook with a ribeye technique, so I can be difficult to please. Model Milk's 18 oz Ribeye was very good indeed. easily a match for the better steakhouses in Calgary. if you and a friend really want steak, you will not be disappointed with this one. I enjoyed the music. They have a collection of interesting vinyl that dips into disco, jazz, funk, and electronica. we pulled out shazam more than once. We could see the open kitchen from where we sat and I enjoyed glancing over to see someone carefully plating a meal or managing tasks whose timing had to be perfect. everyone on staff who spoke to us was kind and upbeat. the ingredients are as local as possible and excellent quality. the cocktails were balanced and tasty. save some room for an espresso drink from monogram coffee and the pot de creme - gorgeous paired with a latte.

We’ve been to Niko’s twice in the past six months (don’t dine out regularly) and both times we’ve been impressed. As with previous visits over the years the food is always excellent and we believe good value for the money. Our servers these past few times have been courteous, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Our primary server (the same young lady) the past few times, was attentive without being intrusive and we didn’t feel rushed. Last evening we brought an out of province guest and she too was extremely impressed by our server, the food and overall experience. Thank you.

Make this a destination when in Vancouver. Travelling from the UK we were given the place as a must go to, by a Canadian friend and it didn’t disappoint. Great staff, wine list carefully created and the sommelier helped us find the perfect match for our food, and the food was perfect, two of our group had a pasta dish which they raved about, my friend and I had the pork belly special that was cooked perfectly. The ambience is buzzy but not overbearing, people waxing lyrical about the food no doubt. Will return if ever back in Vancouver !

Had the 6 course dinner and wine pairing for 4 of us on the terrace. Only one course was not pleasant ”the fois gras”. All the rest of the courses were amazing. Service was excellent, way to go Lexi. What was really nice was “not being rushed”. We were able to enjoy our food and wine experience comfortably.
