My husband and I had an overall good experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere beautiful and service quite excellent. I have dined here alone in the past and was excited to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my husband this trip. Unfortunately, our note in the reservation may have been lost because it wasn’t acknowledged which was a shame. The prices have gone up since I dined here last but that maybe due to inflation worldwide and the absolutely delicious heart shaped waffle topped with caviar(I’m forgetting the name) now costs an additional surcharge. Either way, we had a good time, and I wish we could have had more of a celebration. Will recommend for the delicious food.

One of the best meals I've ever eaten... Came here for a birthday treat with my partner. Everything about the experience was perfect: from the hospitality at reception, the impeccable and friendly service in the bar and restaurant, to the food itself. It's not cheap (although the express menu is very good value) but represents good value for money in terms of the quantity and quality of the food. The steak and lobster were the highlights, but there's something mouth-watering on the menu for all appetites. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

1st visit here on New Year’s Day after receiving the cookbook for Christmas. Our curiosity led us here for dinner. The whole experience was excellent. Overall this is a fantastic place to eat and the staff were lovely ,majority of the food was fantastic, the only issue was the menu we were sent was not the menu that was being served , the dishes were simplified which was a shame , the brown shrimp arancini sadly was very bland and looked like just rice but the rest of the food was beautifully cooked , well balanced , delicious and cooked extremely well so would definitely go back as apart from the arancini the food was stunning and every member of staff was attentive friendly and brilliant !

We had a fabulous lunch from the set lunch menu. From the minute we arrived the service was impeccable. The sommelier helped with our choice of wine and advised well. The waiter knew his stuff and was able to give details of every part of each dish we were considering. The little extras between courses were very tasty. It’s not cheap at Mere but you certainly get what you’re paying for. Didn’t see Monica but they did a nice candle and piped birthday wish for one of our party. Would highly recommend a visit to Mere.

I’m really impressed with the quality and freshness of the produce and the skilled treatment of the seafood. I also appreciate the friendly service with staff willing to advise on dishes and accompanying wines. The All Day Menu changes with the seasons and offers dishes from snacks to main courses and desserts. For me, the highlight is the blackboard displaying the day’s specials. This features both classic dishes and contemporary, inventive combinations. The wine list is well chosen and some outstanding “guest” wines make an appearance from time to time. The restaurant is on the ground floor of Fenwick Department Store’s Food Hall and there are no steps to negotiate. Escalators and lifts are available to access the store's toilet facilities and baby changing room. As the restaurant is limited to the store’s opening hours, I would recommend checking the website for seasonal alterations. My personal view is that Saltwater Fish Company ranks among the best seafood restaurants in Britain.

We were so happy to be back at the Greyhound, as the last time we had a reservation we ended up with a flat tire and on run-flats, you have to BUY a new tire, so we missed our lunch. But dinner last night exceeded our expectations. The food was always good, but seems to have gotten better. All the amuses are a wonderful treat, especially the chocolates at the end of the meal. Quail was fabulous, Dorset crab was fabulous, and the sirloin absolutely delicious. They always have our favorite wine - "Follow the line" and at a reasonable price too. Staff seemed to be top notch. They were good before, but even better now. Very attentive, but not obtrusive. Except for the loud talking around us, there was a birthday party at one table, and a girls night out at another table, it was a wonderful experience. We want to go back when they have the fireplace lit!!! But highly recommend the restaurant!

We came here for the Sunday platter as it was always a favourite and unfortunately it’s changed (and reduced in size, it used to be three meats); so there was no pork or red cabbage which was now an extra at an additional cost. You’d be better to order the individual roasts and choose your extras. The food however was really really nice, and the service was amazing! The restaurant itself is beautiful.
