Steakhouse
The Strip
Michael Mina is a celebrity chef in Vegas. One of his most popular restaurants is StripSteak which aims to take the "stuffy" out of the classic steakhouse. StripSteak is the Aria Hotel and Casino, and it has traditional steakhouse options, like rib-eye, Scottish salmon, and a whole host of sides. Diners rave about the Maine lobster tacos, though, which come as a starter and include shrimp, shiso, kewpie mayo, and celery root spuma. StripSteak feels distinctly nightclubby inside with soaring ceilings and low-lit tables and booths, so come for a romantic night out or a late-night dinner for two.

Japanese
Mandalay Bay Resort
Diners might not automatically think about tacos when they come to a Japanese restaurant. But at Kumi, in Manadalay Bay, they can find some of the best tacos in Las Vegas. This stylish, whimsical restaurant with walls decorated in colorful leaf decor and light wood accents, has a typical Japanese sushi menu. But the Kobe Beef Tacos shine, and they come with Togarashi Salsa, Kochujang, and Micro Cilantro. There are several tacos in an order and they are big enough to share. Follow up with one of the restaurant's signature rolls, like the Hot Mess: Sashimi Poke, Kanikama, Avocado, and Screaming O Sauce.

Catch is Las Vegas' newest and trendiest sushi restaurant. The restaurant also features Japanese-inspired hot and cold dishes, and diners particularly love the taco options. Try the Mahi-Mahi wonton tacos with guacamole, tomatillo, pickled onion, and lime, or order the Wagyu Short Rib Tacos with grilled pineapple, vegetables, and ginger aioli. This trendy hotspot attracts beautiful people and a celeb-filled crowd in its bright and airy plant-filled dining room, so make sure to dress for the occasion.

Morimoto is one of the most excellent Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas. Sleek contemporary design serves as a backdrop for a menu of complex and artful dishes, including both hamachi tacos and spicy tuna tacos, both of which people consider to be some of the best tacos in Las Vegas. Be sure to try the sushi at Morimoto since it's some of the freshest diners can find in the entire area. Morimoto is at the MGM Grand.

The Black Sheep is one of the trendiest restaurants in Vegas that is not on the strip. Located in the southwestern corner of town, The Black Sheep serves artisan cocktails, wine, and a delicious menu of upscale bar food in a dark, warm, candlelit setting. For some of the best tacos in Las Vegas, diners should try the salmon skin tacos, which come as a starter. This dish features two salmon skin tacos filled with salmon belly tartare, tabiko, smoked shishito peppers, and micro cilantro. Follow the tacos with one of the restaurant's most popular entrees, the grass fed ribeye or the lemongass duck confit.

Everything we ate and drank was pretty much flawlessly delicious. The only notes were that the background music was more of a club playlist (Future, Soulja Boy, etc) which is fine for a bar or casual restaurant but in this case did not match the overall vibe. We also had 2 instances where food we did not order was delivered to the table and we had to send it back for correction, and worse, one of the items made it onto the check and we had to catch the error prior to paying. However, the food and drinks were so creative, delicious, and relatively fairly priced that it was still an incredible experience that I will definitely return for.

At the Luxurious Venetian on the Strip is Chica—a restaurant with Latin cuisine and a bright, whimsical, lively atmosphere. Diners come here to enjoy strong rum cocktails and a vibrant bar scene. They also rave about the taco options, served as starters, which include pork belly tacos with kimchi verde and fish tacos with beer-battered fish, cabbage slaw, and guacamole. Another part of the menu that shines at Chica is the Churrascaria. These chargrilled meat options come with a choice of sides, waiters slice the meat for diners at the table.

Honey Salt is one of the most popular farm-to-table restaurants in Las Vegas. The restaurant, located in Summerlin, focuses on comfort foods all made with quality ingredients. Diners looking for some of the best tacos in Las Vegas and its suburbs will find some excellent options at Honey Salt. Available at lunch, the seared fish tacos come with salsa verde, avocado, and radish. Don't skip dessert at Honey Salt, because diners rave about the sweets here. Some of the most popular choices are the society chocolate and banana cake and the brown bag apple pie. Honey Salt feels bright and welcoming inside, with a white interior and cozy dining tables, which fits with its overall theme of comfort.

True Food Kitchen, a nationwide chain of healthy American restaurants, is in Summerlin, one of Vegas' most upscale suburbs. This outpost of True Food Kitchen has a wide range of healthy options, including tacos. There are two options of tacos diners can pick: either the grilled fish tacos, which come with tomatillo avocado salsa, pickled jicama, dried sweet corn, coconut lime crema, and anasazi bean; or, grass-fed steak tacos, which have tomatillo avocado salsa, pickled jicama, dried sweet corn, coconut lime crema, and anasazi bean. At the Park MGM is Best Friend—a Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant that absolutely gets tacos right. This casual but trendy hotspot is the brainchild of Roy Choi, a celebrity chef from LA who shines at creating inventive Asian cuisine. For people looking for some of the best tacos in Las Vegas, look no further than Best Friend. The menu has two options: Kogi Short Rib tacos with korean BBQ, salsa roja, cilantro-onion-lime, and chili soy slaw, and the carnitas taco, with salsa verde, cilantro-onion-lime, and radish. Best friend is a nod to Koreatown in LA, with excellent live music and a cool hipster vibe.

We ate the slippery shrimp, kimchi fried rice and aguachiles. It was a great combo having the refreshing bites of the aguachile with the heavier shrimp and rice. We love Best Friend!

Marche Bacchus is an upscale wine store in nearby Las Vegas suburb, Summerlin. In addition to selling wine, the market also has a French bistro attached—and they serve some of the best tacos in Las Vegas. The tacos are on the appetizer menu and are duck confit tacos, served with orange marmalade, cabbage slaw, and mustard vinegarette. Those craving more traditional French food will also have their pick of options here. Steak frites, pork chop, and bistro chicken are some of the most popular items on the menu. Marche Bacchus is a warm upscale restaurant with white table cloths, chandeliered ceilings, and a huge area for outdoor dining, so choose it for a special occasion or to eat outdoors when the Vegas weather is particularly nice.

90 Ninety Bar and Grill is in the Suncoast Hotel and Casino. The vibe here is totally casual, and diners don't need to dress up to come for a delicious meal. Anyone looking for tacos will be happy with the restaurant's offerings. They serve grilled fish tacos, which have mahi mahi, white corn tortillas, cabbage slaw, mango salsa, avocado salsa, and a chipotle crema. 90 Ninety is an affordable option for excellent food off the strip, and it sits just southeast of the heart of Summerlin.
