Bonterra is one of our go-to restaurants, the food is always amazing and the ambience is excellent! I usually go during warmer weather to sit on the best patio in Calgary, but new years day in Calgary is not conducive to dining al fresco :-) so this was my first time dining inside - not as lovely as the patio of course but it was still very nice. The food was so good - there was 6 of us for a birthday dinner and so we were able to try a good variety of items on the menu, everything was well prepared and delicious, and the Bartender's Baby cocktail special was a big hit. Best of all was our server, she was an absolute delight and very attentive and friendly (without overdoing it).

I made a reservation for myself and two friends visiting from Australia. As always, I wasn’t disappointed and my friends loved it…….from the location, the furnishings and the food and service. We shared the charcuterie board for starters and 2 of us had the mussels and clams and the other guest had the halibut. We finished with the cheesecake. The service is always great here but last night it was impeccable with explanation for dishes and checking to make sure we were happy. It’s my go to place for fine dining in Burnaby!

We had a wonderful dinner with our party of 4. Beverly, our server, was fantastic! She was very helpful with meal recommendations and her energetic personality! We had the Pork Dinner for 2 and the meal was delicious and a great value. We were very impressed! Their new chef is great! We couldn’t recommend them enough. We were very impressed with the entire experience. It is not an inexpensive restaurant, but then again, it is a steak house. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional (Jake was our primary server), and the ambiance was great for our family of five, with 3 teenagers. It was a great way to finish off our ski vacation to Whistler/Blackcomb!

"What a lucky find! We were staying up the street at Opus Hotel and found this restaurant on Open Table. I'm so glad we went! Pure Spirits is a must in the Distillery District - after multiple visits it is an easy choice to recommend. Great menu choices - these have been updated since last we came and there are some nice options for all kinds of diners! Service was excellent and quick - food arrived beautifully presented and was very tasty. My colleagues were super pleased we had picked this spot to go to during our conference. A hint as to the appetizers and sharing....order more, the sizes are not overly shareable once you are more than 4 at a table.

Wonderful service! Our waitress Sarah did an outstanding job: she was very professional, attentive, observant, but also courteous enough to give us time and privacy. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor, too, and able to engage in friendly yet professional conversation. All other staff (the hostess, other waiters) were extremely professional, greeted us and thanked us for coming when we were leaving, too. The facility is wonderful, the patio very welcoming, the staff made us feel special by asking, for example if we need more or less shade, and offering to take a photo of us. The food was delicious (the only reason I gave it 4 not full 5 stars because there was a bit too much butter melted around my fish and something was tiny bit too salty - might have been one of the wild mushrooms; however, itd definitely eat there again and I will return in the near future!) This indeed is a great place, I highly recommend.

First time at this restaurant. Read the reviews online. Lived up to its expectations. Fantastic wine list and not overpriced. Waitress and severs could not have been more attentive. Would recommend highly to family and friends. Only criticism - a tad loud and the 2 seat tables were tight for space and were beside the bar which caused the increased noise level. Otherwise would return again and again.

Had the 6 course dinner and wine pairing for 4 of us on the terrace. Only one course was not pleasant ”the fois gras”. All the rest of the courses were amazing. Service was excellent, way to go Lexi.
