Honestly, we expected way worse food for a restaurant that could accommodate such a large group. Food was diverse, drinks were good! Service was pretty exceptional. Then again, it was a huge bill.

The food was cooked well. The drinks were superb. The ambience was great. The seating is a bit congested, depending on where you are seated. The main course took an hour to arrive and one appetizer never arrived to the table. Overall, it was a good experience.

We enjoyed our meal at Bistro du Jour. The omelet and the pastry basket were both delicious! We were seated quickly and the service was very attentive. Our coffees came out very slowly as the coffee bar got slammed with to-go orders. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of bathrooms- there was only one all gender restroom for the whole restaurant, so there was always a queue to use it.

The food was excellent and the customer service was phenomenal. Both our waiter and the manager made sure we had an amazing dining experience. We had the shrimp cocktail which is prepared sue vie style so it was extremely tender. We also ordered the mushroom tart that's on a flat puff pastry. It was delicious. We ordered the double burger and whole fried fish and shared them. Again delicious! They even have a cocktail that I believe is only available at their restaurant. It think its called honey I'm sorry I'm late. It's a must try because it's smooth and unique.

For our last night in DC we enjoyed an absolutely wonderful dinner at Jackie. Our server, Lily, was exceptional and gave us great pairing suggestions. Timing was right on and never felt rushed. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed an assortment of mocktails, fig and shrimp dish, cheese biscuits, cannelloni, short ribs, a burger, chocolate cake and some of the best ice cream! Yum!

New Years Day brunch. The French Toast was amazing and so was the maple bacon. The chicken and waffles was average. The chicken was a little dry but had ok flavor and nothing special about the waffles. Overall it was really good.

Really good food - I had a dish of pork chunks that had been simmered in a house blend of spices al cubano. It was so very tender. Service was very attentive except at desert time when there were many more diners. The desert, sopapillas, was chewy and sweet, a perfect ending.

We hadn't been to Liberty Tavern for brunch since 2020 and were delighted with how it has adapted to post-pandemic life.
