Excellent food and service. Our waiter Christiano made great recommendations on wine and food. Ambience was nice. Plenty of space as well as far as not being crammed into a table.
The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the presentation was emaculate. The only thing was it was very energetic/loud which made the night slightly less romantic. But, rhis may be because we were seated on the second floor. The first seemed much calmer, so my suggestion is if its a romantic night definitely come here, but request a table on the first floor.
Food was delicious as always. A bit crowded and very noisy.
First time here. Took my son to celebrate his first big job. Excellent food and energy.
Excellent destination in the North End! We made reservations and arrived early, and they were able to seat us early! Appetizers, drinks, and dinner were xcellent. We asked that they do not rush the dinner so we could relax and not feel rushed and they accommodated our request, and had a nice couple of hours in the restaurant. Have been there twice i the last month.
Food was quite good. Got seated back by the bathrooms which was not very pleasant. Tables shouldn't be placed that close the bathroom doors.
Food was very good typical Italian fare but well prepared and ample portions. A veal chop was huge but perfectly cooked and moist. Pretty noisy but were seated as requested on reservation at a corner table. All staff were very friendly and gracious.
The restaurant is 3 floors. We were seated in the basement floor which is where the bar is also located. I didn’t like the location of the table. We shared a burrato appetizer which was good - not great. I had veal parmigiana. Again good but not great. Service was good. With all the Italian restaurants in the North End I would probably choose another restaurant when I am back in Boston.
First time at Lucias. The food and service were great. I would recommend Lucias to friends and would certainly go again.
Absolutely an overall good time experience, you will not be disappointed
Nice, cozy atmosphere. Great food and large portions.
10 out of 10
We had a craving for Italian food & figured the North End was the place to go. Lucia’s was exactly what we needed! From the moment we pulled up until we left, the staff was warm, friendly and inviting. We were seated at a corner table in the back and the ambiance was amazing. Our waiter, Luciano, introduced us and thanked us for choosing them with all the great choices nearby. The food was authentic, plentiful and delicious!! We will definitely be back for more!
Waiter was great but I’m not sure I will eat here again. Got the smallest espresso martini I’ve ever had and it was $17. Small portions and so-so food. Spent $70 a person for what we could get for $35-40 anywhere else in north end.
Definitely feel ripped off a bit.
We had a great visit! Everything was amazing , food, service and overall fabulous experience! Definitely will recommend!!!
Valet was a lifesaver on a cold rainy night. And $20 is what we would have paid in a garage!
Service was excellent, food delicious - lamb chop special was spectacular. We told them it was our sons' birthday and they brought dessert with a candle and everyone sang Happy Birthday. It was a lovely evening and we'll be back again!
I got engaged here! The manager and the staff was great, and the food is delicious!
Wouldn’t put us in the main dining room. Bummer! The upstairs was very noisy and 2 of us were in their 80’s. No fun. This was my 4th visit. Won’t go back unless in main dining room.
Christian was very welcoming when we walked in the dood. He asked some questions to make sure our food was prepared above and beyond our expectations. Cozy and quiet for a relaxing lunch.
Lucia is excellent for a lively atmosphere, friendly waitstaff and delicious food!
So accommodating for our large party! Thanks, Frank, for a great meal!
We love this place no matter what but the service was fantastic that night!
The food was authentic Italian my wife had a. Veal parmasean dish And
I had Braciolettine a Calabrasse dish. Lucia,s version is the best I ever had.
The waiter was very friendly and efficient.
The portions were large, very tasty and reasonable. The cocktails were god, but pricey.
Better sick to the vino
This one of our favorite North End restaurants. Good menu variety and quality. One key for me is the bread and theirs is very good. Enjoyed our entrees.
I made a reservation and was very disappointed. The food was not good (tomato sauce seemed out of a can) and the restaurant was extremely cold. They forgot I was celebrating my birthday and overall just not a great meal
The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be returning!
Overpriced for simple Italian food. The restaurant was too loud to hear the person next to you.
Great restaurant! Terrific food and excellent service! Great value too! Will be back again! Terrific that they have valet parking too, especially in the North End where parking is always a problem.
Food is pretty good, large portions and seems fresh. The dining room is very small, so it gets incredibly loud and hard to have a conversation. Service is a bit slow, but servers are very nice.
This is likely my worst restaurant experience in the North End. Do not even bother to enter. The Boston Globe needs to return to update their review...
1. Inattentive service - it took 10 minutes for our server to realize we had not received water. Our server didn't even bother to put our bill in a folder and forgot to give us a pen.
2. Microwaved food - the food was cold in the center and the plate was scorching hot. Clear markers of microwaved food. The pasta was far from al dente - it was disgusting cheese that I would not even feed to my cat. The gnocchi was severely undercooked.
3. Temperature - the restaurant was an uncomfortable 85 degrees. It's clear the restaurant is going downhill and can not afford temperature control.
My favorite restaurant in the North End of Boston. I had not visited Boston since 2011 and Lucia’s was even better than I remembered
Classics North End Italian -- small, homey, loud and crowded.
The food was uneven: my clams and linguine were great, but a little light on the pasta I thought; my wife's chicken parm was too dry; the bread was stale; but, the soups were tasty and abundant, and the calamari starter was soft and fresh.
I have had much better.
Very long wait for food and drinks. The waitress told us that she always gets left alone in the upstairs but she does not allow herself to get stressed. I can understand that, however, it took a half hour to get our first drink and 45 minutes to get bread.
Food was great. Traditional southern Italian. Enjoyed my chicken Parm and my husband had veal saltimbocca. Both were terrific. Friendly wait staff who seemed authentic Italian. Very friendly. Restaurant was a little dark. We were there in the afternoon so wish it were brighter but would definitely go back.
Our entire dining experience was amazing from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
I can't say enough about the service and the food! Our waiter recommended the specials and two of us ordered the pasta special. The tortilla pasta topped with seafood was freshly made and amazing. You could see a chef making the fresh homemade tortilla pasta in the kitchen. My other colleague wanted chicken saltimbocca but they only had veal saltimbocca on the menu. The waiter said it's not a problem and they'd be happy to make chicken saltimbocca. She thoroughly enjoyed her dish. The waiter was very attentive and made great recommendations.
The only negative is the restaurant was very noisy. That aside, I highly recommend Lucia Ristorate!
The appetizers we had were especially good along with attentive service. The entrees were good but did not stand out enough to be in the very good category, in my opinion. The food prices were very reasonable for a Boston restaurant.
A terrific location in the North End with outstanding food. Great staff and a real family experience.
Had gnocchi with bolognese sauce, great job homemade and light. Veal and chicken parmigiana were also at the table and were top quality. Waiter did offer to refill drinks and help staff did not refill water too frequently. Location was great and clean and friendly staff.
Food and service were excellent!
