This was a perfect dining experience- food, service, ambiance. I can see why this restaurant is always fully booked.
Fantastic - will be back for sure
Josue was our server. He was outstanding. The food amazing and cocktails delicious. Never rushed. Thoroughly enjoyable and we will definitely go back again!
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food
Momma Maria never fails to disappoint. The Halibut was amazing and the staff was kind enough to give us a complementary dessert for our anniversary. A classic restaurant in the North End.
In the North End and chock a block with Italian restaurants this place is exceptional. At the pricey end of the market but well worth it.
Mamma Maria is a nice Italian restaurant in Boston’s North End. White tablecloths, superb service and more than just “red sauce” Italian dishes. Our waitress was great. Her in-depth knowledge of the wine list made choosing an “off-the-board” bottle to go with our meal very easy. While the ambiance was fine Italian, the dining room was a bit stuffy, temperature-wise, and it was refreshing to step outside after our meal.
As you know, there are almost endless Italian choices in the North End, but you cannot go wrong with Mamma Maria.
Food was delicious, servers and staff was impeccable.
Tables were a little cramped, and it was a bit noisy.
The food at Mamma Maria was very good as usual. There are many items to choose from and the pastas are homemade. The waiter was helpful in a wine selection and very pleasant. A lovely evening.
Mamma Maria is our go-to restaurant when entertaining guests from out of town, but this time you missed the mark. I don't like the dining room without windows. It felt as if we were being shunted to a closet.
This was a wonderful Italian restaurant. I had lobster agnolotti . It was delicious . Gracious waitress and the whole staff was nice.
Very great experience for boyfriend's birthday dinner. The one thing he was specifically looking forward to on the menu (bone marrow), was sold out! So that was a bit of a bummer but our waitress was great, service was great, staff was amazing and the lights, noise level, location were all amazing! We'll definitely be doing back here and hopefully they will have the bone marrow!
Excellent all around! Both food and service. Enjoyed the ambience.
Marina, our server was delightful and knowledgable. Osso Bucco was amazing! Beautiful setting, but tables jammed in too close, and noise level was distracting. However, was everything we expected, and hope to revisit our next time in Boston. It’s understandable, why they consistently receive great reviews!
Mamma Maria’s was everything their ratings said they were. Fantastically friendly staff and phenomenal dishes. While our meals were fantastic, the pesto dipping sauce provided with the fabulous crusty bread was out of this world. I could have made meal out of the bread and pesto alone.
Outstanding food. Impeccable service. Always our favorite.
Food is simply 5 stars!
I have had innumerable delicious Italian meals. Never have I, or the other 4 of us had such a perfectly delectable meal, of pork, pasta and fish, in a perfect, quiet and beautiful setting, with the perfect service (via Emul and the rest of the servers). We cannot recommend it highly enough, with much gratitude.
THANK YOU for the PERFECT birthday celebration!
The restaurant itself was fantastic.
Some construction out front but not a nuisance.
We went there hoping to get a pasta dish smothered in marinara sauce.
I was planning on veal parmigiana and my date was hoping for some authentic ravioli.
To the restaurant’s credit, what we ordered was very good but not excellent.
It is a very upscale venue but not honest to its Italian roots.
For the money, we probably won’t go back.
Celebrated a college Graduation. Was an excellent experience!
Food was wonderful, service was amazing ! Would definitely go back. We were seated about 1/2 hour after our reservation time but other than that everything was wonderful
Very nice and cosy place. The food is excellent, service is great.
Food and service were excellent. The maître d was quite arrogant, which detracted from the experience.
Visit was for a 5-person business dinner. Service was outstanding, and the food was also very good (pasta Bolognese, seafood, veal, and a range of salads and appetizers). I would definitely select this restaurant again for business or personal visits.
Food was phenomenal- Osso buco and cod dishes - service top notch. Waited 20-30 minutes to be seated but well worth the wait. We were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco- will definitely go back!
Great Italian food in a charming environment. The menu is large enough to provide plenty of options, but not so overwhelming that a decision can’t be made. My husband and I started with the tuna tartare and the poached pear with Gorgonzola and prosciutto. Both were absolutely delicious and a great way to start. We followed up with the Osso buco and the springtime pasta. Also fantastic. Add professional, attentive service and you’ve got a great evening.
There are so many options in the Little Italy neighborhood but this should be at the top of your list. It was a beautiful place, with amazing staff & delicious food! We got behind schedule and they were flexible about us changing our dinning time. I also mentioned that it was my boyfriends birthday when I made my reservations and they brought out free desert! When we head back to Boston, it will be on our list for sure!
A classic Italian restaurant with pizzaz. The service, the delicious pasta dishes and the Ambience were perfect for a meal out of the ordinary in Little Italy in Boston.
Loved the restaurant and the menu. Would definitely go again next time in Boston. Our service person, Emer, could not have been more helpful, professional and good humored.
Brought my daughter here for her 25th birthday. Beautiful restaurant, wonderful experience. The food and wine were excellent!
Amazing. The staff went above and beyond.
Absolutely fantastic, will definitely go back! Rabbit pasta was a delight, service impeccable, excellent wine list, and I’ll be dreaming about the house made pesto for months to come. Intimate space for just the two of us.
This may be the best meal I've ever had! The Lobster Pasta melts in your mouth! Our waiter was helpful choosing a wine and dessert. It was a lovely experience from beginning to end.
Special occasion place. Bit formal. Good food, but expensive.
Excellent service. Better food.
I can't say enough about Mamma Maria and their staff. My wife and I have been there several times for dinner. We had reservations over Memorial day weekend. Unfortunately my wife was feeling a little under the weather but was looking forward to dinner. She tried but couldn't make it through dinner. Our server was excellent had the kitchen rush our food and she had boxed up and ready for us to take it with us to go. The couple at the table on the side of us lucked out too. I gave them the bottle of wine we had just ordered that only had the small sip to taste out of it. After a short walk home I still got to enjoy my food sitting on the couch.
Always exceptional service and outstanding food. Never disappointed at Mama Maria’s!
Everything was good but we weren’t as blown away as we expected to be. The burrata appetizer was just okay. The sea scallops over risotto was the best dish we had! And the wine list was great
Our favorite restaurant. Never disappoints. We go there for all special occasions.
