Maple & Ash
What Insiders Are Saying
Maple & Ash sits in the middle of the Chicago steakhouse Venn diagram. It’s both new-school and old.
Amazing food and service! Beautiful restaurant with extensive wine list.
We loved Maple & Ash! Beautiful design elements, loved the candelabras, very well done! Morris and the team took great care of us.
What more can I say that I haven’t already said, Maple and Ash just gets better each time I dine here!
First time eating here and lived. Dan made the experience incredible.
This restaurant was highly recommended by many of my friends but unfortunately I didn’t have the great experience I was hoping for. When I got to the hostess stand, they didn’t really give me direction as to where I needed to go. They just told me to walk to the lounge area where there was no one there to greet me. I waited a little bit until someone asked me if I was waiting for a table. The food was pretty average for a Chicago restaurant. I think it’s valued much higher than the quality of the food, and I ultimately ended up getting sick that evening. I don’t think I’ll be going back.
If you like buffets and waiting 35 minutes past your reservation then this place is for you on a Sunday! Long lines for the “food stations” and limited
Carving, salad, omelet station fantastic. Mushroom pasta excellent. Seafood platter good. All the Deserts were tasteless and awful. French Toast old. Service wasn't the best considering we had to ask several times for water and coffee. There wasn't much for the sever to do since it was a buffet.
Went on a Sunday for the breakfast brunch. The food was phenomenal, and I loved the setting! They brought out free seafood and pasta also.
We went for my husbands birthday and were thrilled with the service, food and atmosphere. It’s definitely pricey but you won’t be disappointed!
Spencer was an amazing host and made our dining experience excellent!
Definitely worth every penny. We will be back!
Best part of the dining experience beside the food was the server Jasper. A Chicago must!
Everything was impeccable! Their servers are extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Their food was phenomenal. We loved everything we tried - from the meatballs to tuna tartare, dry aged steak and ricotta agnolotti !!! All amazing. Best dining experience we’ve had in a long time!
There are steakhouses galore in Chicago, then there is Maple & Ash. This was our first visit and will not be our last. What to say? Service impeccable, food was beyond expectations. By far the best steaks my fiancé and I have ever had in Chicago, best steaks ever had. A wine list to impress with a staff to guide you along the way. While not a restaurant for a quiet dinner, we enjoyed ourselves immensely on all aspects of the dinner. This is now a must on our future visits to Chicago. Thank you for a memorable experience!!
Outstanding service, food and experience. Took my wife here while visiting Chicago for her birthday dinner and the staff didn't disappoint. Seated promptly with little to no wait. Steaks we're cooked to perfection, drinks were outstanding and the service was excellent.
Everything about my dining experience was amazing and I will defiantly be back again. The service was exceptional. The food was to die for and the restaurant had a wonderful vibe.
One of my favorite restaurant in the City if Chicago. Impeccable attention to service and food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Amazing service and food.
Service for our table, led by Norris, was outstanding.
referred to from concierge at Ritz, however did not measure up to RPM Steak
Great atmosphere/food was phenomenal
Loved the entire experience! Our servers name was Spencer and he definitely added to the evening. He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.
Will definitely be coming back!
Great ambiance and service. The candelabras were a nice touch. My strip was fattier than expected for the price. The wine list is one of the better ones I’ve seen.
Cannot say enough good things about Maple & Ash! If you're looking for a nice birthday or any celebratory dinner out, look no further. The second you sit down, your waiter will shake and serve their custom seasonal cocktail and provide a few small bites (for free). Everything on the menu is 10/10. As good as the food is, the service is up there too. Ambiance can't be beat. Trendy, dark, and delicious while remaining classic. Beats out almost any other steakhouse, period.
Thank you for making mine and my boyfriends brunch amazing!! Great start to our day. The place is beautiful, modern. Food was delicious. Server was attentive!!
Food was spectacular and service was spot on!
The restaurant was impressive. Service, food, and drink was above standard. A bit pricey, but worth it. Just make sure you know the price of the special when they shave white truffle on it. Small bowl, large price.
Celebrated my birthday with a delicious dinner at this swanky venue. I recommend the seafood tower- still dreaming of fire-roasted mussels, scallops and lobster! Felt taken care of by attentive yet chill waiter and welcomed with a personalized birthday message printed on menu.
Always an amazing time!!!! Alex was an amazing server!!
Incredible experience!! Alex took amazing care of my mom and I. Would recommend to anyone!
We came for our one year wedding anniversary and did the I don’t give a F*@k menu and it was the best experience! This was such a perfect gift to give each other and we are still thinking about the meal! The service, food, ambiance was all 5 stars!
I love this place! Definitely coming back for my birthday!
Service was exceptional. The waiter(Russell) was very attentive and accommodating.
Fantastic first time experience! Nick and the rest of the staff...fantastic!!!!
Devine food and excellent service
Very noisy even in the dining room. Hard to hear each other. Great place for a quick drink. Coconut cream pie was a 5-star. Steaks were good but not fabulous. Skip the whipped mash...looked like pureed grits.
We enjoyed the entire experience
We came here for my husbands birthday. Gave us a very nice welcome drink and a little raddish dish, which was also nice. Only thing I can complain about is that it was my husbands birthday, and most restaurants...bavettes, Chicago cut, etc will bring some sort of dessert out for the occasion, but they did not. The only other thing I can complain about is that once we paid our bill we never saw our server again. When you pay over $300 for a meal I guess you expect more....
first time there. We ordered wedge salad s and octopus for appetizers. They were all excellent.
Entrees included petite filet, fish, bone in sirloin and pork chops. All prepared perfectly. Had sides of Brussels sprouts and mushrooms)enough for whole table). Service was impeccable. Expensive but isn't good food and service everywhere?. Would definitely go back. Based on the crowd so will a lot of other people.
