Delicious food. Beautiful venue. My favorite restaurant!
I always do recommend Marsha Brown to friends and visitors to the area. My fiancee and I took a couple out for their birthday Monday evening who are from Ewing. They had never been to your restaurant and loved it. They enjoyed the food and the wonderful service by Adrian our waiter, Rebecca and James.
This was the best restaurant I've been to in a while. Took my wife for our 17th wedding anniversary dinner and when we arrived they had a sweetheart table ready with rose pedals on it. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was even better, from appetizers thru the meal and desert. Everything was excellent, this is one of my new favorite restaurants and we will be returning.
Great Food and great table for a fun Birthday !
Celebrated my wife’s birthday. Great atmosphere, great service, and most importantly great food.
Excellent meal. The dessert was the best
Ambiance, uniqueness, delicious food and drinks! We'll be back :)
Wanted to make my husband's birthday dinner-for-two a memorable one, so Marsha Brown seemed the obvious choice. In this comfortably elegant setting ~ you can't beat the ambience & decor -- stunning revival of an old church in the heart of New Hope. Our server Jack catered to our every need with attentiveness and humor. While we weren't as "wowed" by the food as we'd hoped, we were pleased with the experience overall.
Very attentive and knowledgeable waitera and staff. Food is excellent. I had Jumbalaya and portion was large and delicious. Fish Oscar style was also very good. Chocolate cheese cake was decadent and one portion was enough for 2.
Interior is beautiful and noise level was low, ao conversation was easy.
We had just gotten engaged earlier in the day,
Excellent experience. Very attentive and personable wait staff. Lovely whimsy in the decor. Delicious food albeit not cheap
Went on a Saturday evening and whilst the food was good the service was a little slow.
We love the restaurant always a pleasure everything was great including the valet service
BEST RESTAURANT IN NEW HOPE!!
Same service people for years and years surely tells the story.
Mitch was an excellent waiter! He made our dining experience SUPERB!!! We definitely will be returning!
My husband frequent Marsha Browns for our date nights. We always enjoy our time. The food and service have been consistent over the past 10 years that we have been coming here.
I recommend Death by Gumbo and the Crab Beignets are to die for.
request Mick for your server he’s the best
I hadn’t been to Marsha Brown’s in 10 years or so. Food was still pretty good but otherwise the experience was not great. It looks very dated and a tired, made worse by the bus boy banging plates behind a curtain right on the dining floor. If you’re charging fine dining prices then act like it. I wouldn’t go back.
Very little of the menu is truly reflective of New Orleans dining. The orange roughy meneure was not even close - the fish did not taste fresh and the sauce was overly sharp. There was quite a long delay before we were seated though the Barman made our wait enjoyable with a sazerac the rest of our Mardi Gras evening was a disappointment
Marsha Brown's was GREAT!!! The food was delicious!! The salmon and grits were the BEST I've ever had. The slab of bacon as the appetizer was awesome. It was a quiet Monday, perfect for a birthday dinner celebration. I highly recommend it and definitely plan on going back very soon.
I had not been to Marsha Brown in years. I have to say overall I was a bit disappointed coming back. I ordered the surf and turf and the filet medallions were char grilled which was not noted on the menu, the crab cake lacked flavor and had no sauce provided. Also the seafood risotto was bland. Overall very mediocre meal for price. My husband got the jambalaya which he said was very good. The crab beignet appetizer was excellent. Also we had a delicious bread pudding for dessert. The service was also excellent/ top notch.
We were seated upstairs on the third level for some divine dinning. Dan’s service was on point and his attention to detail was exceptional. Can’t wait for my next dinning experience with Marsha Browns.
Excellent food in the most amazing place. I would highly recommend this !!
Food was amazing. Raw bar outstanding. The jambalaya and eggplant Ophelia were 5 star quality. We will definitely be back. Tables were a bit close to each other but if you have four people then not a problem. Our waiter was attentive and informative.
Last night's dinner was disappointing. Aside from outstanding service by Jack Shire, we had a busboy type young man who brought out our dishes....chewing gum! The request for lobster to be already shelled prior to being brought to the table was ignored and the dish had to be returned to the kitchen for de-shelling. This happened the last time we dined at Marsha Brown too. We had asked for our meal to be leisurely, enjoying our cocktails prior to the appetizers being brought out. That didn't happen. Appetizers were brought out within 5 minutes of our ordering.
I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. We have never been to Marsha Browns. I thought the ambiance would be special, with the mural and stained glass windows. We eat clean and are not really fans of Cajun food. At first we were seated on a cushy love seat, beside each other. Although it was romantic, it was not conducive to gazing into each other’s eyes and holding a conversation. We asked to be seated at a table across from each other, and our busboy and waiter assisted in the transition. The servers were attentive and accommodating. Maybe the wine glasses were larger but the carafe hardly filled a quarter of the glass. It was enjoyable. We shared a chopped salad, and each of us had a delicious piece of salmon over creamy grits without the shrimp, sauce on the side. It was delicious along with the sauteed spinach. We ordered the sweet potato cassarrolle, which was covered in pralines and sugar. We scraped off the topping, the sweet potato puree was delightful with the salmon. We ordered chocolate mousse cheesecake, but there was no hint of cheesecake, just very sweet chocolate mousse with oreo crust. Disappointed, we only had one bite each. When we pointed that out to our waiter, he didn’t seem to care, as the menu stated it was “chocolate mousse” cheescake. He offered to wrap it up for us, but we declined. The din of the crowd became louder as the room filled up, and we just wanted to leave. But the ambiance is beautiful, and the experience was mostly enjoyable, as life is an adventure, and it was fun to explore a new restaurant in the beloved town of New Hope.
Everything was great. Sean our waiter was really good at recommending what he thought was great and he was spot on. The eggplant Ophelia was out of this world and the filet was like butter!!
We have been to Marsha Brown’s before and had a great experience every time! John was awesome by making our most recent visit even more special! The food was great and service was top-notch. Come hungry and save room for dessert!
We always enjoy Marsha Browns. Food and service are top notch.
Always a favorite. Great staff and amazing food. Lollipop lamb champ appetizer is to die for.
Excellent dining experience from service to food. Highly recommended.
Server was very pleasant. The restaurant is unique and trendy! Food was delicious and drinks were right up there too! Will be back for sure!
Terrific meal and outstanding service. One of our favorite places in New Hope!
The food was absolutely amazing. This was one of the best meals I ever had. The entire staff was professional, kind, and courteous. We were there the day after Valentine's Day on a Saturday evening, and although they were very busy, we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. We are anxious to go there again.
Forgot how good this restuarant was. Food was amazing service outstanding. We Dined for 21/2 hours with No rush. Compliments to management Outstanding job👍👍👍👍❤️
Long wait for entree’s. Steak came out cold, had to send back. At these prices, you expect the kitchen to have their act together.
First time there. The food was good, although the presentation of my husband’s $46 steak was lacking, a slab of beef tossed on a plate.. The main reason for the low rating was the service, or lack there of. Our server after we got our meal never came back. He never even came back to see if we wanted another drink. After we were finished our meal, we spent 20 minutes trying to get his attention as he spent 5 or 10 minutes at every other table. I finally had to get up and go over to ask for the check. He came with the check, and said he was hoping we would have ordered dessert, I replied with I would’ve loved to have had dessert and coffee had anyone come and offered it. He told us it was busy, even though he was taking his time with other tables. He offered to buy us dessert, but we had already ordered our car brought around and honestly the meal was ruined at that point. We will not be going back. My fine dining will be elsewhere. Very disappointing as we had been looking forward to a special Valentines dinner to cap off our weekend away.
Really well made food and nice atmosphere. A little pricey for us, but we would definitely go back for special occasions.
Valentine’s Day date
Food and service excellent
Only issue was the Valet service took forever to get car.
