Was there for a birthday celebration an in the past , they would have little birthday decorations on the table and bring out a desert with a candle .
Nothing was done though. The waitress wished them happy birthday , but that was it .
A bit disappointed this visit .

What a wonderful place to eat with family, friends, or a date! This place has charm, and so do the staff. Not only were we blown away by our waiter but also the food was delicious. Truly something you don’t come across that often! Everything on the menu looked delicious, and all of our food was cooked perfectly. The raw bar was fresh and ice cold, and their drinks were good as well! A few of us tried the steak entree’s which were amazing and came with crab cakes (also amazing, and 95% actual crab meat), and others had the Eggplant Ophelia, and were super impressed! We definitely will be coming back for more.

Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with a delightful smile by the hostess, Morgan and her team. We were then handed off to Mick who took very good care ofbus all night. Mick is very attentive, knowledgeable of MB and gave my wife and I a wonderful evening as we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary. If you choose to go dine at MB, Mick is superb (MB you should clone Mick). The entire team at MB is fabulous and everyone there makes your dining experience very enjoyable. Shout Out to Mackenzie who was working so hard behind the scenes to ensurie all of the little things were done right.

The venue and food were tremendous! Our waiter made our evening very enjoyable as well. It does seem to get a bit noisy in there, especially if you are seated right next to another table. Overall I would highly recommend, and will definitely be returning to Marsha Brown's in the future.

Another wonderful meal. We expected it to be a rushed affair since it was Father’s Day, but not here. Just great attentive service by Adrian. Food superb. Dessert insanely good. We keep coming back for this exact reason. We are never disappointed.

Marsha Brown was a superb choice for our anniversary celebration. Everyone we encountered was treated like a welcomed guest and the atmosphere is so beautiful. It may be a little loud for some but we could hear our waiter and one another just fine. Nice scotch selection for my husband and an extensive wine list. The filets with crab cake and crab risotto were cooked to perfection and the lamb was amazing! We didn't think we had room for dessert but decided to share a bittersweet decadent chocolate cake which topped off our experience! Go to Marsha Brown...you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were there for our Anniversary. That put us at a special table that they had decorated with rose pedals. Jack, our waiter that we have had numerous times, was his usual jovial self. The meal was outstanding. We love this restaurant for special occasions.

Dined for dinner and nothing but good things to say. Started with Doug our server; he presented the menu in such a way that it made us first-time Marsha Brown diners feel at ease and excited simultaneously. All the recommendations he made turned out to great! We ordered the Crab Beignets and Mamere’s Crab Cheesecake for appetizers to share, and they were both awesome, although I personally had a preference or the Beignets. Somewhere during that ordering process, I discovered a wine on the list called Claire de Lune, and gravitated to it from having known DeBussy’s works; it turned out to be a very well balanced fruity non-oaky Chardonnay that kept my palate active throughout dinner. We split both the Crab Salad and Lobster &Shrimp Bisque, both very cool! Crab salad with the pickled veggies and vinegar was a cool salad to have on these humid days, and the bisque was kind of obligatory to try since every restaurant makes it differently, but we were definitely happy that we did because it easily turned out to be one of the best we ever had! For entrees, we ordered the Heavenly crab cakes and the Fish Special (wahoo, a rarity in itself in the Northeast), and they were fantabulous! Crab cakes were delish and the wahoo was prepared with this brown butter that was sooo good! The onion rings are huge really good, and the only thing I have to say is on the sections of the onion rings that don’t have that spice on them, which by the way is excellent, you have to use ketchup. We knew we had to save room for desert, so we saved half our entrees/onion rings to bring home and ordered the Bread Pudding (phenomenally heavenly with a la mode!!!!). Seriously, nothing but good can come from a night at Marsha Brown’s 👍

Mixed...but ruined with a very bad dish: The salads, mussels, and one of our dishes (eggplant casserole) were good to excellent. The eggplant dish was the excellent one. However, the noise level was horrible. Waiter could not hear us and we could not hear each other. But the real disaster was the Jambalaya. It was in a dull, killing sauce. Tasted like canned beef sauce or worse. Ruined the shrimp, duck and crab...which may have been OK...but who knows. The sauce could have been left over from cleaning an old pot used for beef. Just a disaster. The desert...bread pudding...was very good. Wine selection was fine. I had the Chateau du Pin Bordeaux -- which was excellent -- but served a too warm. Not way to warm, but about 10 deg F too warm. Waiter was lovely. Room is fun but needs serious work on the sound dampening.

Food was good. Jambalaya wasn't bad. It would have been nice to see crawfish instead of shrimp (being a little bit of a Creole purist). Drinks were excellent. Jumbo Shrimp as an appetizer was good, but not worth the $3.95 per shrimp. Service and staff were very attentive.

This is our special occasion place. For starters, we shared the slab of bacon-soooo good. My husband got the lobster bisque which was not overly heavy like most bisques. I had the Jambalaya which is so I good, every time I go, I order it. My husband got the mahi mahi maniere which was prepared wonderfully. We also shared the onion rings which were incredible. For obvious reasons we were too full for dessert. The ambiance is wonderful

The blue crab beignets are amazing ... light, fluffy and full of crab. Also had the seafood ala bearnaise. The seafood was red snapper. The fish was well cooked and flavorful however the presentation looked a bit rushed. The crab on top was minimal and looked like an afterthought and the shrimp were quite small. Overall the service was great as was the atmosphere. I would definitely recommended this place to a friens and would go back for dinner.

Beautiful restaurant with a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. Service was top notch starting from the hostess Valentina to the waiter and support staff including the manager Sergio who came by and made sure we were enjoying our experience. Our waiter was Tyler, he gave us an informative break down of the menu because it was our first time there and answered all of our questions. The whole meal from start to finish in my opinion was delicious and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back to taste more from the menu.

We had heard great things about the restaurant, and went there for a weekend lunch. It was outstanding! Since it was our 'meal of the day' they allowed us also to order items from the dinner menu and it was superb. The fresh catch of the day was orange roughy and it was amazingly fresh and tasty with a crab meat and light hollandaise sauce. Maybe one of the nicest fish dishes I have eaten!

This converted church to a fine dining restaurant works well. The small first floor bar with a few banquettes doesn't portend the spacious dining room on the 2nd floor. The large space and well laid out seating area begins your wonderful dining journey. Don't be taken back by the gigantic mural on the far wall with lions and spears (is that really needed. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise even when the dining area is nearly full. You can enjoy a fine conversation with your friends probably due to the soaring height of the ceiling. The appetizer blue crab beignets was terrific and my friends' jambala was flavorful with chicken, duck and sausage. The only downer was the layered eggplant, crab and shrimp dish. It came out not hot and the dish looks awful. Doesn't make you want to dig in. I did dig in and it was not enjoyable at all. The desserts looked good and the coffee was also good. Overall worth a trip to escape the maddening crowds in New Hope.

I have dined at Marsha Browns on various nights of the week at different times of the year. I have never dined here before on a Saturday evening. This is a mistake that I will never make again. While I'm sure the food would have been delicious, we didn't stay past our cocktails to find out. When one is enjoying a fine dining experience, being able to hear your waiter and dining companion is an important part of the evening. It was SO LOUD that I couldnt hear either without shouting across the table. After the manager came to our table and gave us a sarcastic and half-hearted apology, we finished our drinks and left. Sad that the ambience doesn't live up to the food quality.

This place absolutely blew me away from the moment we walked in the door. I made the reservation from open table, and one of the questions on the request was “special occasion”. I selected “birthday” and in the notes, I explained I was talking a girl I really like there on a date for her birthday (it was a surprise for her as I didn’t say where we were going). I won’t explain in detail what they did for us because I don’t want to give away anyone else’s potential surprise, but you will not be disappointed. They went above and beyond to make us, and most importantly her feel so special, it just set the beginning for an amazing night together. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is incredible, and all of the staff are so accommodating and attentive. Thank you everybody at Marsha Brown! I highly recommend this restaurant.

You know it’s good when you get to the second bite and say “we’re definitely coming back”. Yes, it’s that good. A delight in every way. Decor was awesome. We couldn’t stop looking. Unique setting. Excellent/professional service. We went for our anniversary and they helped us celebrate with rose petals on the table and complementary dessert. The surf and turf (tournados of beef and crab cake over crawfish risotto) was outstanding. We also liked Ophelia’s eggplant dish very much. This was our second time at the restaurant and highly recommend

Very disappointed in last visit. Steak was brought out - touched plate, now have a second degree burn on finger. Server told me not to touch plate after I already did. Asparagus was so well done could not cut it. Husbands Cowboy steak very fatty - got a better steak at Longshore. My filet very dry.

My wife & I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Marsha Brown. The entire staff, headed by Adrian, were very friendly, attentive, & informative -- they even decorated the table with rose petals for the occasion & comped our dessert. Each course was excellent & perfectly prepared & presented -- starting with the crab "cheesecake", followed by the salmon/shrimp & strip steak entrees. Nice choice of wines by the glass, too. While not exactly an "intimate" setting, the noise level was better than expected for such a large, open space.
