This year we decided on Matteo’s in Roslyn for our 2021 Easter Sunday Dinner as Roslyn was convenient for all of us. Sadly, it was our first Easter after losing my 55 y.o. sister to brain cancer in May, 2020. Neil and his staff were all very attentive and we couldn’t ask for better service. My husband and I dine at Matteo’s often and we did notice the Mozzarella Tasting was smaller than usual. The Rack of Lamb was very good but, one entree had more lamb chops than the other. We thank the entire Matteo’s staff for making our Easter gathering an enjoyable one.

My family and I had a pleasant time, celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Matteo’s exceeded our expectations. The ambiance was chilled and relaxed. The music in the background was great! My girls and I were singing along (quietly) to a lot of the songs. Loved the location where we were seated. Made our dinner feel a little more intimate. Food was delicious! Very generous portions. Wished our server was a little friendlier. Great time overall, and most importantly, birthday girl was happy.

AMAZING!!! We came here for to have dinner after our wedding ceremony and they were able to accommodate us and setup a table for us 30 mins earlier. Everyone was wonderful. They were so attentive and even offered us some champagne to celebrate. It was a perfectly wonderful experience and our night couldn't have ended any better. Thank you all for being so wonderful and the food is outstanding. We've been here before this night and we most certainly will be coming back. We all shared the stuffed mushrooms, baked clams and fried calamari (family style) perfect for sharing amongst 8 people. We all got our own dishes and they were all fantastic.

Matteo's always delivers. The food is excellent. And what's great is ever dish comes as either for one or you can order the family style size.

this was one of the best meals I have had in ages. The eggplant parm was delicious. My husband had the chicken. Our friends had the chicken parm. Our appetizers were great. The zucchine Fritti was sooo good as were the baked clams. Would definitely come back again,.

Nicole our waitress and Neil... I am not sure what Neil was but between the 2 of the the service was exceptional! Food - Portions were overwhelming for the price! Just a great place for dinner. We came from Queens (I can disclose we are still Negative and 2 of the 4 people dining will be vaccinated on Thursday and the other 2 are type O blood type). We are not spreaders, we have all been seriously social distancing and working from Home and appreciate the way the Restaurant adhered to the limitations imposed by Governor Cuomo. Matteo's is a Class AAA restaurant for all in Queens, Nassau and in Long Island! A Great experience!

Everything was wonderful

Everything was great except for one main dish that was extremely salty to the point I could not eat it. Do not order Nonnas Rigatoni Ragu. If you order tell them little or no salt. If I did know it was so salty I would have told the waiter no salt. I was thirsty after for a few hours due to the salt content.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Food and service is always outstanding and my husband and I eat there often. It is also a wonderful place for a special occasion.

Matteo's a very solid Italian restaurant. They have a nice size menu and what's great is that it doesn't have to be family style. You can order any dish for either yourself or the bigger size for 2-3. It's a beautiful restaurant and the service is very good as well.

The food was disappointing. The appetizers were ok. We ordered baked clams, stuffed mushrooms and Caesar salad. Stuffed mushrooms and Caesar salad were good. However, baked clams were not good. There was too much stuffing and you couldn’t even taste claims not to mention they were over salted.
For the main course we ordered cavatelli al Telefono and filet of sole. Pasta was just ok...The fish was terrible. The fish itself was not fresh. Both of us left fish untouched on the plate. The waited didn’t even notice that the fish was untouched and didn’t even ask if anything was wrong.
Overall, the meal was disappointing. The Huntington location is better.

Visited here for LI restaurant week. Food tastes great and service was good. Portions were generous. I enjoyed myself shellfish dishes which were fresh and flavorful. My friend’s chicken entree was literally a whole chicken! Will revisit in the future and take advantage of the foodie card discount.
