What Insiders Are Saying
There’s this thing. It’s called The Feel Good Factor™. Meadowsweet in Williamsburg has a whole bunch of it.
The vegetarian option was very disappointing in comparison to its beef counterpart. We can do better there.
I went here with my wife to celebrate her birthday and it was very enjoyable.
The food was amazing, the cocktails were delicious and the staff were friendly and very informative.
I would highly recommend this place
Very easy and relaxed vibe with amazing food and surprisingly delicious Scotch Spritz!
The food is delicious. We had three appetizers, octopus, scallops and burrata, all excellent. Mains were duck breast and a dish featuring sunchoke. We shared all. Loved all. I wasn't thrilled with dessert choice but my wife had an apple tartine which she loved. I don't like cooked apples but tasted it and it was good. I choose St. Louis ribs for dessert with a glass of wine. Loved my choice. Well worth it. Corking fee $35 is a little steep but if you like wine it is still worth doing. I brought mine from home but really nice looking wine store next to the restaurant.
Already have recommended Meadowsweet to everyone we know! This is at least our sixth time here, and each time we are impressed more by the amazing cuisine and friendly service. The roasted artichoke and buratta appetizers were awesome as usual, as were our main courses of scallops (a must), duck, wagyu steak and salmon. I should add that we drive more than an hour to get here each time; a small gesture for a fantastic meal. Will be back :)
All the dishes, the brussels sprouts, scallop, pasta with truffles, squid ink pasta were good. When we asked for a second serving of house bread, we were informed it would cost $1 each. Bread was good, and the extra $3.00 in a $300 meal, didn’t make a big difference, but it was odd. Even when it was packed, the noise level was not impossible. Server was attentive and pleasant, we did feel a bit rushed, when there was a lineup of folks waiting for a seat.
Second time here and everything was absolutely amazing. This restaurant couldn’t be recommended higher. Every dish is amazing. The service is fantastic. Try it yourself, you won’t regret it. The lamb entree melts in your mouth.
I love this restaurant. The food is creative, flavorful and beautifully prepared. Wonderful atmosphere as well.
This restaurant remains a favorite “go to” anytime
I have guests visiting town. The food is always feah and consistently flavorful. The atmosphere is not too contrived, always pleasant, warm and calm given the busy streets only a few blocks north. More than anything, the staff and owners make you feel so welcome. It’s a NYC favorite and I’ve lived all over from uptown to Soho, West Village, Tribeca and now Williamsburg. I’m inclined not to say more for fear it will get too crowded.
Nice neighborhood feel. Young family with a baby, single foody guy next to us ,young bar scene and a few old couples like us. The high ceiling and windows gave lots of light and cheerful service made us feel at home. My truffle dish was memorable and still lingers in my proustian tastebuds, and my husband’s mole duck really interesting. The wine steward gave us thoughtful advice, and finishing off with the chocolate cake was the way to go.
Expect a superb brunch as usual. Quality plates in generous portions. Crowd+music can be a bit noisy so be prepared to speak up over others. Cheers.
Perfect in every way. Food was fresh, delicious and creative. Love! Can’t wait to go again.
Wonderful brunch. Make sure to indicate if you're bringing a stroller. We didn't and had to hold our 3 month old baby for the entire brunch. She was well behaved tho and fell asleep! Duck hash was the bomb as was the
salsa verde that came with the hash and as a dipping sauce for the empanadas. Love that the brunch dishes all came with fresh greens. Lovely meal!!
Really enjoyed our dinner at Meadowsweet over the weekend. My husband and I were visiting Brooklyn from the Philly area and were looking for some finer dining and found it. Super cute interior with a great little ambience going on. Attentive, friendly & efficient service.. and very delicious, creative and beautifully presented food. Would totally return.
Tasting and wine pairing was a tremendous value and one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.
Thoroughly enjoyed our celebratory dinner. Every dish we ordered was delicious and the service was terrific!
Fantastic breakfast - the pastrami hash was one of the most delicious dish I had in my NYC vacation!
Fabulous. Food was delicious and tasted so fresh. I ordered the chicken which was very moist. He had the duck which he said was the best duck he ever had. We had the artichoke and st Louis ribs for an appetizer also delicious. I ordered a side of broccolini which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was my boyfrinds birthday. They gave us complimentary champagne and put a candle in his dessert which was a very nice touch. The service was excellent. They make you feel special. Overall a great place. A bit expensive, but totally worth it.
While our dinner was delicious, we were very put off by the service staff. We ran a little late and the hostess was rude about it. Then our server didn’t put much effort into making us feel comfortable and acted like we were an inconvenience. Above all, our dining experience was tarnished by the reminders of our table’s “out time” making us feel rushed even though we were pacing along on time.
Wonderful food, wonderful service. Beautiful rustic-meets-Williamsburg ambiance. Pro tip: do NOT arrive too early for your reservation. Waiting space is not ample.
It was fine, but didn’t impress. Had scallops, yellowtail tartare, burrata, duck. All good, just wasn’t GREAT.
The tasting menu is an absolute must! I have had it twice now and It was phenomenal both times -- such delicious, real foods and such interesting variety! It's very filling-- come hungry!
Need to fix thermostat. Either too hot or too cold
Very good food, very nice service. I definitely recommend!
Loved the food and the atmosphere. All egg dishes great.
We ordered the special for the night. An in-house, aged 18 oz ribeye with two sides for two. Mashed potato and onion rings. The cook on the ribeye was off as the fat was not rendered correctly. We sent it back and they cooked it longer. It came back and better. With that being said, the best part of the entre was the onion rings.
Great service... even better food. Will be back.
Say yes to the burrata, octopus, scallops and linguine. Although the rib eye special for two sounded damn good, I wanted to try all of the yummy things on the starter menu - which seemed stronger than the mains to me. Portion sizes mean 2 starters = 1 main. Nice that there's a tokaji on the menu --- but what are you really supposed to have it with? Service was the perfect balance of attentive and let me enjoy my meal. No delays in bringing out the next dish, but not rushed either. Great food in a laid back vibe.
Food was very good service was wonderful very nice place nice ambience my wife and I really enjoyed it
Food and service were beyond our expectations. The Michelin star has been well-earned. Will be back again and again.
I had been to the restaurant before and this time brought a client. We were not greeted well, coats left hanging on the chairs (before they had checked them). The waitress continuously interrupted my friend whenever he was speaking because I guess her news was very important for us? For a Michelin star restaurant, it did not live up to the standards we expect. Not sure what happened.
Great atmosphere, amazing, well-balanced food! Ate here for brunch - good selection of dishes, with mostly egg based dishes. Great value, prices are not bad for Williamsburg brunch! Especially a Michelin starred restaurant. Would recommend!
Meadowsweet has easily become one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. All courses were executed with elegance, and perfection. The drinks are fantastic, with a nice selection of diverse signature cocktails. The service is always on point and never ceases to amaze me. We went for a friends birthday and did not mention anything about the celebration. I suppose the waitress overheard him talking about it being his birthday when she was serving us, and they brought over free glasses of champagne for us to toast with a candle in his dessert and wished him a happy birthday as well. It was very heart-warming and definitely a nice touch to end the meal. Will 100% be going back whenever i find an excuse to
Very enjoyable brunch. Fresh food, not heavy despite fried nature of some dishes we ate. A bit pricey, but not too high. Very pleasant room, some space between tables. Would certainly recommend it.
Creative but simple menu, including cocktails. Even the house drip coffee was delicious.
Went here with my girlfriend on a Friday night. Overall I was very pleased with the quality of food and service. The server was very friendly and personable and the restaurant has a very nice vibe. Would come back here again.
