Petite Crab Cakes
Crab Cake Platter
cocktail, fries and side salad
our famous jumbo lump crab cake & shrimp salad, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, Duke's mayo, choice of bread
Delicious food. Service was slow. Too loud to have easy conversation.
Sunday lobster night special is a terrific value. Great service!
Tremendous service. Great spot for fun great meal with friends or family. Could sit in bar area, patio or more quiet tables. Something for everyone. Crab cake was delicious. And sweet potato fries. Just the right amount of menu options.
The seating in the bar area is loud, as to be expected, the middle section is quiet so make sure you request it when making a reservation if you that is what you prefer. Food is always excellent and so is the service!
Birthday Lunch Celebration! Staff was very friendly and enjoyed our "good time" too.
My absolute favorite Baltimore County restaurant
Tasty food and excellent service. What more could you ask?
This restaurant continues to prevail amid rough circumstances with Covid. Will continue to visit! Everyone there is working to their max. It is greatly appreciated by the patrons!
Our Waitress Elizabeth was so accommodating and attentive!
Great service in this tough time for getting people to work. Bartender was great, he was really busy but very good. Table service was good.
This place never disappoints. The food was delicious. Always interesting specials.
There were 5 of us. We had appetizers, entree’s and desert. Everything was excellent. Especially liked the soft crabs. Only negative on the foods was the Brussel sprouts. No one seemed to like it. Too much going on with the dish and a weird taste.
Mary was our server. Has worked at Michael’s for many years. She was very attentive and a pleasure to interact with.
All in all a very enjoyable dinner.
Brought my clients over to celebrate them closing on their new house. They loved it! Food and service we great. Thanks!
Just had a burger which was fair.
Young server was very good and attentive. Ambiance was meh and that four chairs (fabric) at our table were worn and full of holes. Booth floors were worn, seems like most of the place was a bit long in the tooth!
On a Thursday night, the restaurant was very crowded and the kitchen was slammed, which resulted in slow service. Our very young waiter was given to mindless expressions like "no worries," even as he stumbled over the rudiments of service. The kitchen had run out of prime rib, the evening's special. Nonetheless some dishes, such as fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, soft shell crabs, and fish and chips were crowd pleasers. All in all, a comfortable and popular restaurant experiencing temporary post-Covid start up problems.
My brother and sister-in-law came into town from Sarasota to go to a wedding this Sat. As I live in Lutherville I thought they would enjoy a relaxing time Also my daughter came- I am at Michaels a lot with my condo group and we have a good time. Our dinner was very good and our waitress was wonderful- We all enjoyed a good time together
not as good as usual- took a very long time just to get drinks when we were first seated and one of the items we ordered they were out of but didn't tell us until half an hour after we placed our orders-maybe just an off night so we'll try again
Had dinner with friends and talked up a storm. Nice to get back out to dinner. Michael’s was great food was excellent, service by Jamie was outstanding, and the crab soup was superb. It was the best crab soup a I’ve had in years.
Advertised Lobster night and for a 7 PM reservation they only had 1. Menu said fried green tomatoes and they were sold out. Crab cakes were mushy. Waitress tried her best but forgot everything. Drinks took a long time. We had to get our own flatware from other tables. She was around way too much except when we needed something.
This was not the Michael's we used to know.
Great service and excellent food! We all loved it!
Elizabeth our server was a ROCKSTAR! I don’t know why they seated us in the bar; I wanted the standard main dining room.
Our server was lovely and the food was great. Prices were higher, that seems to be the general trend but the place was freezing! We let the server know and she tried to adjust the temperature but the a/c was blowing directly on our heads throughout our meal! Two of us had headaches afterwards.
If you need an accessible restaurant, I would suggest going elsewhere. While the ramp for entry was visible behind the restaurant, the ramp was blocked off. When I reported this to the hostess, she was unconcerned. Luckily my guest could handle the few steps to the front door, but it was slow and scary, especially going down on the way out. In addition, the restaurant is so noisy our waitress had a hard time hearing us!
This being said, I had a wonderful crab cake sandwich with terrific chips. Given the current price of crab, I did not think the cost was over the top.
In summary, the food and service are great. The lack of noise control and inattention to accessibility make it the wrong choice for some.
Michael's is right across York Road from the Maryland State Fair Grounds and I have been there many times for lunch and dinner. The menu offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices and the prices are all reasonable. My friend and I both enjoyed the standard burger with fries, and it will not be long before I am back there again.
Food was not as good as past visits, in addition they were out of multiple items. We were initially uncharged for a side that was indicated by the waitress as included but she did remove the charge. Perhaps Monday is not a good night to visit.
Delicious crab cakes: wonderful diversified menu: All four guests enjoyed the
various meals we had. Would recommend highly
Michael’s Cafe was recommended by a close friend of ours, and we were not disappointed! The food was great. The atmosphere and service both complimented each other and made for a very enjoyable evening. Keep up the great work and approach! Thank you!!
We really enjoyed our meals. Great service and good food!
Very nice atmosphere. Service and food was excellent.
Keep up the great work!
Father’s Day lunch was great. Brian waited on us and was fantastic.
I got the Caesar Salad and it was very good. Just the right amount of dressing and not too sharp of a taste. We both ordered the Chicken Francaise which is lightly breaded chicken and pasta in a lemon butter sauce. We both thought it was delicious.
Our waitress was very nice and didn't rush us through dinner. It was a very nice experience.
After having five recent really nince dinners and lunches I touted Michaels highly to my friends. We were vey disappointed on several fronts. Although the kitchen was very busy and things slow, when the calamari came to the table it was cold and rubbery. I metioned this to the witress; but, I should have been more adamant as to its lack of quality. Towards the end of the meal and some lingering the resturant was cleaning up. My friend overhear the server tell another server that she could leave but for the______ in the table behind; as, her boyfriend was waiting for her in the car. I had ordered coffee and was never offered a refill as the waitress just disappeared and never even came for the check. I had already filled out before the above events and did not revise to $0 as my freind didnt tell me as to what she overheard until after we left. Very disappointing and I am back to the Capital Grille for enteraing buusiness clisntes, which is a weekly event. The check for 3 was $275.0; not cheap and crtainly not worth the expense. .
The dim lights and quiet atmosphere was a relaxing venue for our anniversary dinner.
We ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Crab Imperial. Both dishes were wonderful. The Shrimp were large, the grits yellow and accented with corn, bacon and green onions among other seasonings. The crab imperial was beautifully done in a cast iron baking dish that held the heat for the luscious lumps of crab in the creamy sauce. Both tasted perfect. The bartender made a fine French 75 to toast our anniversary. Great meal
The food was very slow in coming to the table. Half-priced hamburgers was the deal of the day and it appeared that the kitchen was prepared/focused on those orders.
I HAD THE CALIF TURKEY SANDWICH ABOUT A MONTH AGO & IT WAS GREAT.
ORDERED THE SAME SANDWICH & IT WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL.....CHICKEN SEEMED
TOUGH AND THERE WAS NO FLAVOR AT ALL (NOT THE FIRST ONE THAT I HAD).
Enjoyed the food and the server was very attentive to all of our needs. She came back to the table several times to check that we had what we needed. Refilled drinks when empty, without prompting.
The quality of the food is not back to pre-COVID levels. Servicer was inattentive and make several mistakes with our order. Did not see the owner or his wife. Hope things will improve but food is still good overall.
Very loud in the new bar area
Enjoyed an amazing soft crab platter
Wonderful dining experience! Had a great time and enjoyed dinner very much.
Greeter, waitindividuals, and support staff all personable and capable. Food excellent. Nice Prosecco was neither punishingly dry nor cloyingly sweet.
