The food is as good as it gets. Terrific steak, as good as one could hope. Tuna was awesome as were the sides. The food shines! The wine (by glass) was good but probably not on par with the terrific food (if being a bit picky, I’d say step up the wine - Pinot in this case - and stemware to be closer to the equal of their awesome food!). Service was very nice and professional. Neat, old-school- style restaurant. We’d love to visit again. Great evening!

It's shoulder season in Vail and some restaurants are closed. Thankfully, not Montauk. This is such a go-to place for us when staying in Lionshead. The ambience, service, and food were even more enjoyable on a cold, blustery, rainy evening. And the service from Nat and Bama was outstanding. Our five different entrees were done perfectly, and the great drinks added to the overall enjoyment. Nicely done, Montauk.

We sat outside and it was wonderful. Comfortable chairs. Great service and delicious food. Probably the most tender filet I’ve ever had. The whipped mashed potatoes taste like grandmas Christmas potatoes (just try them and you’ll see what I mean”. Would absolutely come here again. The tower was delicious and worth the money.

All around just an amazing evening…. Being that I am from the South, I never eat fish in Colorado but the Halibut was just perfection! My friend had the salmon and that scored another 10! Thai Salad -I must find that recipe!! Thank you for spectacular eve! Our server, Eric was the bomb!

We had an excellent meal and overall experience at Montauk Seafood Grill. The service and meal were both outstanding and I highly recommend this place when visiting Vail. I also really appreciate the quiet noise level of the restaurant so that we could easily visit with our guests without needing to shout throughout our meal. Excellent place to eat and I plan to return the next time I am in Vail!

Unfortunately the waiter had a cold or something and kept sniffing mucous back in his nose while taking our order which was unpleasant to watch. The tuna poke tacos were microscopic for $22. We got charged $4 for splitting an entree which I had never heard of. Overall it was fine, the food was good but it was just a little gross and depressing on the pricing.
