After so many years- the food quality and service is still on point. Was not disappointing.
Great ambiance, service and food.
Visiting our son in Philadelphia, incredible dining experience . Though can get expensive, worth the splurge!
It was absolutely delightful way to celebrate my husbands birthday and a show. Morimoto and Hamilton..... hard to beat.
Fantastic selection of seafood. Preparation was perfect. Server understood the menu well and helped guide our selections. Definitely would recommend for patrons looking for a variety of offerings that are prepared in a unique manner. Get your table reserved early, like 2 or 3 days early.
We went here for our anniversary. Did the omokase (tasting menu) with wine pairings. It was fantastic! Service was amazing, food ranged from very good to amazing. We spent two and a half hours having the most wonderful dinner ever! For couples looking for a unique experience to celebrate, this is it! Very expensive, but very much worth it!
Omakase dinner, wonderful in all respects.
Yes. Cilantro martini was excellent, as was seasonal sahimi.
I really like the sushi at my local joint, but the sushi at Morimotos is beyond stellar! So fresh and buttery!
Trendy decor with vibrant atmosphere. Extremely friendly service, but very slow as server covering too many tables. As a foodie with experience eating at Japanese restaurants, the sushi and sashimi was average at best and grossly overpriced for the quality. The martinis we ordered arrived not much below room temperature, and because the service was so slow did not request replacements.
Fantastic service. Very attentive and professional. Food of course was phenomenal. Drinks were amazing. Outstanding in general. Only thing I didn’t care for was the dance club like atmospheres. A bit too much. Otherwise it was wonderful and I will be coming back for sure
INCREDIBLE FOOD INCREDIBLE SERVICE BEST RESTAURANT IN PHILLY
Steak was undercooked then overcooked. Offered complimentary dessert to compensate. Gracious, but would have had the steak done right. Sushi, sashimi was so fresh. Best I’ve had in awhile but also the priciest. Expect to stick to my more reasonable go to places at hall the price.
Service slow compared to New York lifestyle
Exceeded expectations! The menu is creative and they knocked it out of the park with the wagyu dumplings, melt in your mouth hamachi w jalapeño and ponzu, spicy salmon sushi, toro blu fin sushi, duck entree and Japanese cheesecake. Outstanding!!
Had the Omakase. It was excellent. Love visiting here. Great service.
The entire experience was great. The service, food, and recommendations were just as good. Super fresh fish. A+.
Loved the duck fried rice, rock shrimp, and spicy tuna sushi!
Superb. I've never before had shrimp tempura where the tempura batter was so delicately applied. Wonderful!
The food was very good. I felt the portions were on the small side, almost a European standard. Prices as expected we high and I did not feel the food conveyed the value. This visit was a la carte. Previous visits were the chef selection. I would recommend the chef selection as the bets option. The decor is boring and the lamps are a tad too fallic. Still, this is an Iron chef restaurant so its hard to find any major criticisms.
Great as always! Try to sit at the sushi bar. The sushi chefs are very personable, and fun to watch!!
Arguably the best high-end Japanese cuisine.
It’s the real deal. Sat at the sushi bar. Did the tasting menu. Wow .
Great servers. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Such a Philly staple. Highly recommend
Anniversary dinner. Everything perfect. Food and service were outstanding!
Absolutely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever visited!! Everything was perfect!!!
Great food, the fish was delicious! Save room for that Blackberry Sorbet! Service was attentive and polite. It was loud and hard to have conversations across the table.
Visiting on vacation had a great time
The Philadelphia Morimoto is the best Morimoto! I've been to several others but this restaurant has the best ambiance, service and food!
Food and presentation were fantastic!
Still a great experience after all these years. For repeat customers, the Omakase is fairly standardized as I have had it three times in the past three years. There are some variations and its still very good - but not as much variety. I'd recommend going with your favorites instead.
For new diners, the choices can be overwhelming. The staff is very knowledgable and will help those not familiar with the unique flavors and ingredients on this menu.
Morimoto remains one of my favorite restaurants and I will eat here again.
Loved the lychee martini, the tuna pizza, and the wagyu beef skirt steak was unreal. The decor was awesome and the service was fantastic.
Food was delicious; service was excellent! Would go every day if I could!
The food was absolutely unreal at Morimoto. They had the most exotic sushi specials that impressed by guest immensely. The sushi and food was prepared to perfection, and we sat at the sushi bar to admire the chef’s work.
Amazing food and service. The sushi was top notch and the wagyu was melt in your mouth.
Excellent food and well crafted cocktails in a serene space.
As always the food was amazing and the service was top notch. The servers knowledge of the food and sake list was impressive.
Horrendous customer service that is preferential at best. Would never return or recommend to anyone. Too many other good food options in the city to entertain this even as a thought. Don't waste your time or money.
Everything was great
This place makes the best fish I have ever tasted. The sushi is mezmerizing I thought fresh raw fish is what it is, but I was mistaken. The sushi at moremoto is far and away better than I have ever had. It's flavor brought tears to my eyes. The place is expensive but it is worth every penny. Of course the service was great.
