The Chelsea branch really is the best one as it stands out with it's beautiful interior and decor which crates a lovely atmosphere. The food was high quality as it always is. I had the best apple pie I have ever tasted and am tempted to go back again for more. The service could have been a little better but overall was not bad but not exceptional. I really really enjoyed My Old Dutch and it will continue to be my favourite place to eat
The entry way is very small and we had a buggy. We ended up having to wait inside in the cold despite making a booking and being on time. Help to dismantle the buggy or being offered to move to the other end of the restaurant (which others later did) would have been helpful. When the food arrived it was average.
Good service and friendly atmosphere
It was a shame that we seem to have booked at a popular time, however this became apparent when those seated after us were ordering before we got a look in! Frustrating. When we ordered drinks, one item was forgotten and there’s only so long an eight year old can wait. One of the children’s orders was taken down inaccurately so when we asked for the additional item, we were charged separately (adult price!). Overall disappointing really as have been before and they coped with large party ok.
Yes, it was goood. Nice food, would like to try more of the sour pancakes. Brilliant hot chocolate, in my modest opinion. :)
Food is amazing and service is so friendly
The music was really loud, we couldn’t hear outselfs talk. But the food and the service was excellent!
Le meilleur pancakes jamais manger de toute ma vie. Je recommande
Fabulous restaurant. went with 4 friends and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very friendly and personable, food was delicious. will be going back.
Manager and all staff so helpful and considerate
Great for children
But pretty shop
Food was good but again slow to come out
Took ages for someone to approach us at the door and sit us down. Even to get the food took ages. Booked a table through opentable but that did not come up on their system
I booked a table for 12 - when I arrived the table was only big enough for 8-10 people.
The food took over an hour to come out, including just a request for ice-cream for a 3 year old.
We had 2 young children will allergies, 1 with an epipen. We informed the waitress and when she finally brought the food, she threw it on the table. I asked which was the vegan ice- cream she did not respond. I asked again and she said 'that one' pointing and walking away it was at that point we noticed that the two ice-creams were touching!
After a very long wait for food, they arrived incorrect and was nearly 30 minutes between the first dish arrived and the final. This is no acceptable.
The place looked cool and had a nice ambience to it. We had a look at the menu but weren’t sure what to order as there were many options to choose from. We had a very nice waitress who told us their famous dishes my old Dutch and chicken curry. We went with her recommendation and I’m glad we did the food was very tasty but couldn’t finish it all as the portion size was massive!
The pancakes are always good. My kids love it. The service was a bit shabby. They were very busy and I am glad I had booked. One waitress was particularly grumpy which I never think is ok. Food was a bit slow to arrive.
Food was amazing! service from a few of the staff was average.
Unreal pancakes could have been back in Amsterdam
Great pancakes, really tasty and lovely peach beer. Service wasn't great purely because it was so busy and there just weren't enough waiting staff so we waited ages to order mains and then ages again to order a dessert. We weren't in a rush so didn't mind too much, but it probably should have been acknowledged. But we will give it another go as it could have just been an off day and the pancakes are worth going back for.
Fab pancakes with the kids, they really enjoyed, the coffee is very good.
Yes but in my mind it’s overpriced. The quantity of food in Children’s menu is suitable to 1-2 year olds.
Lovely service & great prices!
Great location wasn’t too busy.
Not the one at Kings road as I felt we were rushed. Also it was my niece’s birthday and I requested a special request for her which wasn’t even catered for on the day. Very disappointed.
The food was great but we were put in the basement despite having booked weeks ago and we were surrounded by paint pots and other decorating materials. Very disappointing.
Amazing food. My only complaint would be that I was sat in a very cramped and crowded area next to the door which meant people were queuing next to our table, standing next to us and asking us to push our chairs in for buggies etc.
Other than that, food is absolutely amazing, would definitely come again.
Love these pancakes! You have many options and can choose your own ingredients. Gr
The place was overall amazing ! The location was good and the cafe itself is really cute. Me friend loved the butterscotch pancakes pricing was decent. The service was amazing everyone was lovely there would definitely go again and recommend to everyone
I believe they were understaffed and the ladies were running around like crazy but they were lovely and the food was yummy as usual
Someone who visited recently and developed a craving for the bacon and egg with sweet pancakes persuaded us to go as a family. The staff were very friendly. The food was so so. Ingredients were good especially the large fresh lemon wedges. There were 4 of us. 3 had 1 beer. 1 had a milkshake. We had one savoury pancake each and 3 sweet pancakes between 4. The bill was £85. Seems a lot for pancakes.
Nice ambiance, great food and good service. We will definitely be going again ……. soon.
We enjoyed our visit to my old Dutch. Everything was good and waiter explained to menu to us. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it, it was really busy but we didnt wait long. The pancakes were good but not the best I've had.
To be fair staff were helpful and polite but for first time the flat pancakes were average mby will try something different next time, The chicken wasn't great and was tasteless, for that price, i was amazed by the pic on insta so i had high expectations
Food was amazing and a special shout out to the lady that served us, we didn't get her name but she was great!!
Lots of options, traditional Dutch (really big crepes) panckes. Over all food was good. Nothing fancy but nothing bad.
Great place to eat and good choice for everyone, my favourite is the pancakes with Nutella, fresh strawberries, banana and ice cream. Great to have sweet and savoury options will be back for sure!
Easter afternoon desert with my cousin. Lovely and amazing staff. And delicious milkshakes and waffles
We remember a buzzing My Old Dutch from 20+ years ago. Very quiet for midweek in the Easter Holidays, so lacking in ambience. The variety of pancakes is great and they taste good, however they are a bit too big and none of us could finish them. They should offer a small size (maybe two thirds) or a 50:50 so you can do savoury and sweet on the same pancake.
We had the best time at my old Dutch!
Our waiter was so considerate of my gluten and dairy allergies and made sure my food was perfect! It’s hard to go anywhere and enjoy pancakes being gluten and dairy free, so this was such a treat!
My mums first trip and already can’t wait to go back!
Perfect food, service and atmosphere! Can’t wait for my next visit!
Food excellent as always, though the service was unusually slow for them (perhaps because it was Mother's day).
We love my old Dutch but have never been with our kids. With it being Mother’s Day it was extremely busy and tables are so close together it was hard work with the kids and not much space for bags or buggies. The main thing that was an issue was there was no baby changing facilities. They normally do it downstairs on the seat they said but with it being so busy this space was also occupied. We ended up doing it on another seat upstairs in front of other customers which isn’t nice for them so the second time in the car. All in all a stressful experience.
Kept the kids quiet. milkshakes were a highlight and pancakes always exceptional!
Great family dinner with kids. Both kids and parents loved it.
