We had told them it was one of our friend’s birthdays and after the meal surprised him with a sparkler cannon and a dessert. We had the best time and last day in Amsterdam - thank you. We will be returning next year :)More infoRestaurant Black & Blue€€€€Price: Moderate• Steakhouse• Oosterdokseiland•3.3
- OTOpenTable DinerAmsterdam •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 31, 2023We went for a New Year’s Eve dinner and they attended to us immediately and friendly. We took the 3-course meal for vegan and it was all da bomb! Indian and Nepalese cuisines are rich in flavour. Portions were fair for 2 persons although it was probably too much (maybe if you were that very hungry you’d ate them all clean). Don’t get me wrong, I would have done myself so - but my stomach capacity is not that big 🙈🙈. Oh only one downside of the flavour, to us they were all a little too sweet, even if we asked for a mildly hot. But it was so so sweet. We would have loved for some “kicks” with the hotness of the chili. Overall service was excellent. Thank you.More infoLumbini Restaurant€€€€Price: Moderate• Indian• Grachtengordel•4.9
- PAPAULLos Angeles •23 reviews4.0Dined on Apr 9, 2022Cote de Bouef for two was chewy and gristly. Wouldn’t order again. Apple crumble dessert was disappointing and not what we expected as it was more of a pudding with crumbs on top than a “crumble.”. Food menu is too limited. Service and wine choices were excellent. Location is beautiful and the hotel is charming. Will try again as have eaten there twice before on other visits to Amsterdam and loved it.More infoBrasserie Ambassade€€€€Price: Expensive• French• Grachtengordel•4.7

Fresh pasta (tried the seafood spaghetti and pesto tagliatelle). 2 preparations of the shrimp (cognac and garlic). So yummy! And the caramelized balsamic vinegar! Great and personal service. Thanks for a wonderful 2 days in Amsterdam. They were so good, We ate there daily !More infoSaturnino€€€€Price: Moderate• Italian• Grachtengordel•4.5
Discover De Pijp
Known as the Old South, most streets in this area are named after Dutch painters like van Gogh, as well as the famous modernist painter, Piet Mondriaan, who once lived here. The dining scene is equally artful, with many of the city’s trendiest restaurants located along these narrow streets, steps from the former Heineken brewery. Artisan burgers in minimalist digs earn high marks, and Vietnamese street food with locally sourced ingredients offers a fresh take on an Asian staple. For vegetarians, there’s a can’t-miss restaurant that has had a rotating menu since it opened in 1981. On the higher-end, a French bistro makes the most of seasonal ingredients while sourcing its wine directly from France. Get ready for a sophisticated trip through some of the city’s buzziest blocks.
