Booked 26 times today
Just around the corner from Bath's Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the food quality you’d expect of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, and inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to the quality of both food and service. It’s no wonder it's won the Bath Gastropub of the Year title more than any competitors.Food is essentially, though not slavishly, English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. Its food reputation is matched by their service - always friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and there's an extensive wine list and selection of local ales to choose from. The Marlborough's pub garden is arguably Bath’s finest; a walled courtyard space, that’s perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.

Took my wife to the Ivy for a birthday lunch. Couldn’t fault the whole experience absolutely outstanding. Food was brilliant the sticky toffee pudding dessert best I’ve ever had. The service was second to none! Very friendly, professional and on the ball. Will defiantly return. We sat on the terrace was a lovely setting.

We had a very good experience at the Fox and Hounds. This was our second visit here and it didn't disappoint. We had a warm welcome and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent quality and three of us had the duck which was very tasty. One person had mash potato which was a bit lumpy, but otherwise no issues. The portions were quite generous and the deserts very tasty. The pub was very busy with drinkers at the bar, which made it very noisy, but we were assured this was not normal. Certainly our previous visit was much quieter! Overall, a very good experience and I would recommend this restaurant.

Second time we’ve eaten here and both times the food has been excellent and the staff have been lovely. The main courses are really good - this time we had bass, burger and veg puff pastry tart - but the desserts are outstanding and well worth saving a space for. This time we had ice-cream, sticky toffee pudding and strawberry cheesecake.
