Our story began not in a boardroom, but through countless food adventures shared by close friends from across India. Bound by love for food and a deep passion for the flavours we grew up with, we dreamt of bringing the magic of our hometown dishes to the hearts of the UK.What started as conversations over crispy dosas and steaming cups of filter coffee soon transformed into a true passion project. Each of us brought our own regional tastes, traditions, and cherished family touches — and from that shared vision, The Dosa Bar was born.Dosa Bar celebrates the rich culinary heritage of South India in every dish we serve. Our menu features a wide variety of authentic delicacies — from golden, crispy dosas and soft idlis to aromatic biryanis and flavourful curries — all crafted using traditional recipes and the freshest ingredients. Alongside our South Indian specialties, we also offer popular Indian favourites, ensuring there's something to delight every palate.

We went for a birthday Sunday lunch which was truly lovely . Unbeatable waterside location, fantastic food and great staff makes The Ferry a firm favourite for all our family . We all had something different , the beef daube , chicken and pork roasts were all excellent, the mushroom wellington for our one veggie was delicious and poor girl she’s always gets the short straw on taste , and the last choice was a inventive sea bass . The desserts ranged from frangipani almond tart to sticky toffee pudding and everyone was very happy, we were served by the lovely Ollie and all in all , another wonderful outing . Diolch yn fawr !

We booked for five as a celebration. We know the Daffodil and the owner Alex quite well, living nearby and being fairly regular. Food and service impeccable as always, and Alex went over and above to look after us and our guests. Always a pleasure here, especially for special occasions. Food was superb as always.m
