My wife and I had dinner here during our stay at Lizard Creek Lodge. The dinner was a great experience with fantastic views and ambience, well crafted drinks and delicious Chicken Parmesan main course. The only ‘negative’ was that we were given menus from which we decided what to order and then a waitress appeared removed those from the table and replaced them with *new* menus that had significant price increases ($7 per dish for our selection). This was done without any communication or explanation and did leave a bad taste in our mouths (so to speak). This is not how customers ought to be treated. Honestly if a mistake had been made, the restaurant ought to have valued the relationship with the customer above trying to get more money from them after a decision had been made based on the original menu provided.

The selection of this restaurant was last minute but utterly worth it from the greetings at the door to the service and the food was excellent. The kitchen is very efficient for its size and the food came to the table hot and very enjoyable. Our server Mia was very personable and very helpful with the food choices. We would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to other visitors to Fernie.

We have dined at a number of restaurants in the Cranbrook-Fernie area. This is the first of what could be considered fine dining. The menu is brief; our impression is that they keep it to a few things that are done well. The ambiance was elegant, comfortable, and quiet; this last attribute is very much appreciated these days. The food quality for all three courses exceeded our expectations. Our service was excellent. All in all, good value.
