Downtown Cleveland / Playhouse Square Restaurants

We have never been to Friars table on Friday … very busy … we’ve been 4x previous first time to have a longer wait for food and drinks to arrive but once got them all went smoothly and waitress …Roxie did a good job of making sure we finished not to be late for Plahouse production… The food was amazing fresh bread , mushroom tart , and baked cod dinner The companata that came with the Fish was so tasty also… Staff is always pleasant and friendly and polite… “ Brother Phil” who is responsible for bringing Friar Club to Playhouse Square ( we read the history online ) happened to be there and made the rounds visiting… congenial and gracious .. friendly… we also appreciate the ministry goals of resturant and how it supports their staff… definitely will be back …

Great spot and close to the theater. Food was great and portions are huge. Jermaine, our dining specialist was fantastic.

Had lobster arancini, wedding soup, petit filet, and shared mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Partner had prime rib. Everything was absolutely delicious. Best wedding soup I have ever tasted. Steaks were tender and very flavorful. Also, had tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. Four choices for dessert. Little bit of a walk from Playhouse Square and close to Progressive Field on 9th Street. Easy to find. Play was delayed an hour at Playhouse Square, which changed our reservation, but Centro accommodated us without an issue. Highly recommend if you would like a great restaurant for steak. Service was the best, also.

Perfect pre-theater dining. Would recommend and will return.
