The Derwent Arms has obviously spent a lot of time and energy on its website and marketing as I was expecting a much more home cooked menu rather than the bog standard chain menu that we were presented with. Having said that, the service was fantastic, food was piping hot and as advertised on the menu. A tad expensive though for ready made vegetable lasagne and I had to pay extra for garlic bread and extra again for chips. A bit of a rip off.

This was a belated Christmas treat with friends and we had a lovely time. We thought the view from the table was outstanding and the food was plentiful and tasty.
