After a hiccup with our table reservation, Dan personally rectified the problem and went above and beyond to ensure our 50th birthday celebrations ran smoothly and were memorable. The ambience, food and cocktails were amazing!

All in all a very pleasant, tasty and filling lunch in a lovely spot with excellent and friendly service. We had a lunch with old friends. We had all been once before quite a few years ago. We all opted for the fixed price menu and it was excellent. The starter was tasty, and was quite a good sharing dish. The guinea fowl was nice and juicy, and the duck was pronounced delicious. It was served with a really good selection of vegetables - the smoked potatoes stood out for me. We each had a different desert, so we tested the full range on offer. They were all very tasty, although I only just managed to finish mine (the chocolate mousse) as it was huge! The ladies in our party very sensibly decided to ask for doggie bags for their main courses thus leaving more room for desert. The staff were really efficient, super friendly and obviously all got on well. I should also mention that we were slightly alarmed to realise that a coach party had arrived just before us, but the staff reassured us that they they had all pre-ordered, and were only having a main course each. They all seemed to be having a very nice time and were indeed very well behaved. The speed of service was, as promised, unaffected.
