Amazing service. Mediocre food.
We experience terrific service from Sol and enjoyed oysters on the half shell that were amazing. Order the grilled swordfish or the shrimp cake - you won’t regret it
It was a great dinner. But really wish an order or oyster Rockefeller was more then just 4
Very nice restaurant, amazing decor. Good service and the meals are delicious.
Good to be back again!
food was good, we were seated in smaller dining room to the left which was extremely loud. server was brusk/perfunctory.
the chili was like canned the baby back ribs were horrible . drinks fair, deserts fair. waiter not good never asked how food was. he already knew. never again
As always the food was first rate the service impeccable
We had a great evening!
Our dinners were great and the wine delicious.
Our server was nice and attentive. Definitely would go back when in DC!
This historic DC restaurant won't disappoint. The Capital-themed venue is elegant and the Oysters Rockefeller are delicious.
We always love going out for dinner here!
We had such a lovely time dining in this historical restaurant. I loved reading about the history and all the decor. We were 2 couples, one from Chicago and one from Texas and we all got steak and they were great—and we know our steak!
Our server, Erica was fabulous in every way and really made our experience a pleasure.
I felt very comfortable and welcomed in this historic space. The food was good and the service was personal and professional. I highly recommend.
Excellent food waitress was fantastic. The ambience The decor everything was perfect.
Had a small celebration with friends and the restaurant was wonderful.
This was a delightful experience! The food was excellent: I had the fried chicken and waffles, which I eat everywhere that serves it, and it as a very satisfying rendition. The wine list was good. We got a reservation for 1:30 at 1:15, and we were able to walk from the Mall right to the door and be seated as soon as we walked in. The environment is very good: we had a booth with glass partitions, the ceiling is high, and the lighting was largely ambient, so we had the experience of enclosure with vistas, while still being quiet enough to talk.
Great service! Food was excellent!!
Sunday Brunch selections imo were pricey. Service and food were great! Bathroom off of the upper bar level was filthy
Outstanding all around
Wonderful waitress made the experience more enjoyable
Thank you for the excellent service and food! The wait staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional.
Service was friendly and efficient. Very comfortable experience!
Robert was wonderful, all staff very attentive. Beautiful place!
Our best meal of the trip! We sat in the atrium which I give mixed reviews. On one hand, you lose the historical ambience which makes the restaurant iconic. On the other hand, it is a much quieter dining experience and you can have good table conversation. I guess it depends what one prefers.
Every aspect of the experience was impeccably excellent! Would highly recommend!
The best restaurant we went to on DC. Definitely a great choice.
Great food and great service. The dining areas are a little dark though.
The food was great! The service was outstanding!
Great service, food and drinks! I have found that many restaurants have been subpar during the pandemic but that was NOT our experience at Old Ebbit!
Excellent food, great quality. It’s always difficult to choose what to order because we have never had a bad meal here. Their house-made pasta is always a winner. One of our favorite stops when we are in town. Ross was a most excellent server: friendly, attentive, yet not intrusive or irritating. We like to take our time to enjoy, and he never made us feel rushed. Our experience couldn’t have been any better.
Good food, very good service, cool atmosphere!
Not expensive but not cheap:)
It was awesome. Waitress. Was awesome. Foot was awesome. Lady at table next to us was not awesome but that’s not the restaurant’s fault she was just young and loud. Will definitely go back if we come in town again.
Perfect for the occasion with business colleagues, at 8:30pm on a Thursday evening.
A must place to eat in DC! Classic great service. Best Reuben on the planet. Oysters and calamari you have to go to see for yourself.
Wonderful place, great atmosphere. The history is amazing. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was delicious. We like to visit here when we are in DC!!
Salmon was cold and under cooked… came out 5 minutes after we ordered it… forgot my soup. Server was professional. Great ambience.
A little piece of history and a fun place for lunch. The food was very good. Fried oysters and Walter’s choice sandwich were both delicious. If you like history, go downstairs and read the newspaper articles on the wall.
Good: The oyster Rockefeller was delicious and the service team did a great job.
Improve: I had to return my Buffalo chicken sandwich twice due to the chicken being pink in the middle. Disappointingly, I had to order something else. How do you mess up chicken?
