Everything was very good. My husband had the lamb shanks and I had the salmon. Our sides were sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The food was very good. My only complaint is it was my husband’s birthday which I noted in the reservation. The hostess greeted my husband with happy birthday but the waiter never acknowledged. In the past we were provided with some minor dessert or something. We still enjoyed ourselves.

Had a great time even if we never saw the mushrooms in our food. Its a classy place and has great ambiance. it is quite expensive though but really nice.

Fantastic spot for our second anniversary, they threw in a free piece of chocolate cake, and our service was outstanding. 16 oz sirloin was fantastic, salmon was great as well.

Fantastic meal with a very knowledgeable server (Steve) who gave great recommendations. Make sure to leave room for dessert! Strip Steak was divine! Sides are served a bit strangely but Steve made sure we knew that.

Ordered a tomahawk steak medium rare and it came out burnt the first time (along with the lobster tail). Manager cooked us another one that was rare. The mushrooms were overly salted, the lobster bisque not good. My business partner also had a burnt strip steak and manager sent out another one that was also very well done instead of medium. We have been here on multiple occasions and likely won’t come back after this experience. The manager compensated us for the tomahawk and gave us a free dessert but we still ended up with a terrible meal for 600+$ dollars.

Great waiter Steve, best part of the experience. Food did not have organic options which is expected in a fine dinning experience. No gluten free options. Desert was too big, consider in fine dining emphasis on fine quality not Large Quantity!

Please label chicken as Free range, I don’t want to pay this much to find out I just ate chicken imported from China.

Suggest management go to places in France , NYC and Portland Oregon to see what fine food is.

Superb! The wait staff was excellent, from our waiter to the maî·tre d'fromage, both of whom guided us on the most outstanding selections and pairings, and even sent us home with notes on all of our favorites. Food was remarkable. Not a single bad bite, though the dessert is always a bit of a letdown after such an incredible meal. We were lucky to dine on an evening when the restaurant was hosting a 100-person private corporate event, so we were one of only three seated tables in our dining room for a quiet and intimate evening, though I'm not sure it would be so on a normal night. 10/10 would highly recommend.

We have come in the past and were really wowed, but it seems to have turned into a casual dining restaurant. It used to be a place we could dress up for when we celebrated special events, but now people are allowed to come in flip flops. There’s no standard. The food was average and service was pretty good, but not as “upscale” a restaurant anymore.

Our waiter was Sam, who was appropriately engaging, helpful and attentive. It was a pleasure to be served by him, highly recommended as a "by request" waiter. We had lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, wedge salad and the tomahawk ribeye. The lobster bisque, was the background actor to the rest of the meal, but the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the wedge salad was really very nice with a tomato brown sugar balsamic reduction that brought it home for both of us. The Tomahawk Ribeye was an excellent cut of meat that was cooked perfectly at medium rare in the center and medium well around the edges. The medium well portions were small, but very tender and juicy and didn't disappoint. This was all paired Stag's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon, highly recommended. Oh, and for dessert we had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bar, so amazing! It might be why of all the desserts it was framed with a nice border unlike the rest, because Old Hickory's staff knew just how wonderful it was and didn't want any of it's guests to miss out on it's richness.

This is our second time here. We truly enjoyed the first visit as well as this one. Outstanding service(Ruben...A great voice and sounds like Christopher Walken) and food. Complaints for this last visit: Rolls on the table were quite weak. We know that most don't come for the bread, but, I would expect nice fresh rolls with nice crusts. That was not the case. Cranberry rolls that were practically stale were on our table. We ordered Brussel sprouts as one of our sides..as delicious as they were, they were too salty. And, they came mixed in with diced ham that seemed smoked. As much as I enjoyed it, my wife was not a fan. It should have been mentioned in the description or by the waiter. Very few options for Salads. Not a normal house salad to be found on the menu nor mentioned that they could create one for us(Most high end restaurants will do this). When ordering your steaks, this restaurant really does cook it the way you order it. Most high end restaurants under cook their steaks so if necessary, you can add some more heat. This is the second time I ordered medium well and got medium well, hoping to get somewhere between medium and medium well. I forgot from 8 months ago.

This my first time at the restaurant. I really was not too impressed with the restaurant and should have known something was off as we entered...it was not busy as I would have expected for a "steak house" on a Saturday night. I had the filet mignon and my friend the ribeye with sides of Caesar salad and the whipped potatoes. Everything was average to include the rolls and the cost not warranted in my opinion, the cocktails (did not love the drink options... however settled and did not order another one), and the dessert selection....nothing appealed to either of us and we are dessert lovers. I will see if the other steak houses located on the Harbor are worth the hype...I appreciate the ambience however I LOVE and DESIRE GREAT FOOD as I have eaten at some phenome steak houses in Florida, LA and Vegas. Lastly, I must make mention...the staff was attentive.

It was one of the best steakhouses we have been too, and one of the most expensive. I would strongly recommend for a special occasion where you will easily spend $100 per person.

What a way to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary but at the old hickory steakhouse at national harbor! Upon entering, we were addressed by name and grade it with great smiles. We were seated at our table within 3 minutes, WOW! Our server, Anthony was very professional, courteous, friendly. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and after seeing that we were having a little difficulty selecting our meal, Anthony recommended the Tomahawk steak dinner with sautéed spinach and peewee potatoes, what an awesome selection! The food was delicious. We could not believe that we ate all of it!! For our dessert, we had the orange sorbet it was OK the raspberry sorbet would have really been great but you didn’t have it on the menu, just small Recommendation. What an awesome way to spend our 26th wedding anniversary with the old hickory steakhouse and our server Anthony!

Great meal and fantastic service. Our waiter, Andrew, did everything he could to ensure we enjoyed our meals - providing recommendations and assurances about our choices. The steak was cooked exactly as we requested and the pace of the service allowed us plenty of time to relax while never feeling like we had been forgotten. We will definitely return.

We were disappointed with our dinner at Old Hickory Steakhouse. This was our first visit. We were celebrating our 42nd Anniversary. I reviewed the menu online prior to our visit and could not wait to try the lamb chops. I could not find them on the menu; I was told they no longer have them and have not updated the online menu. Begrudgingly I ordered the lamb shank. Edible but nothing like lamb chops. My husband ordered a special that included NY Strip and Scallops. The scallops were delicious but the steak had to be sent back. He ordered medium and it came out very rare. Our Brussel Sprouts were barely cooked, could not eat them. Very expensive dinner cost $260; ridiculous for what we received.

Service could have been a lot better. We were left waiting a long time between the end of the meal and dessert, and then dessert and the final bill. It’s like we dropped off the radar after the meal was served.

This was a return visit, third for me, and the restaurant looked shabby. Upholstery was literally hanging off of the bottom of some chairs in the dining room. The service was just OK and the lobster bisque was too salty. The steak was good and cooked properly, however, for the price I was disappointed.

My family of four went here for a birthday celebration. With steakhouses, you know you are not going there for value. But the steaks themselves were so covered with salt and pepper that the steaks were disappointing. Our waiter had to check on what beers they had, and they only had 5-6. The rolls were stale. One of us got a seafood item, and that seemed to be the best of the orders. Overall, a big disappointment.
