More about the Restaurant:
In eclectic Inman Sq. lies a distinctive restaurant - Olé, where Chef David Tapia creates authentic Mexican delicacies from Veracruz, Oaxaca, amongst others. Popular for table side-award winning Guacamole it's the perfect destination for an outstanding evening.
Ole' was amazing! I hadn't been there for a couple of years. All the food was so delicious! Not your average basic Mexican food, all the dishes are dressed up. Best plantains ever. Best lemonade ever. Great atmosphere, casual vibe, and great service.
We went for my wife's birthday and it was great! The food was delicious as always, and our waiter Juan even donned a sombrero and sang a mariachi birthday song (to my wife who was also given a sombrero to wear). Ole is always so good we will be back soon.
Very nice place when good food.
Friend needing support
They forgot about our reservation but the food was good and they were quick to get us a table.
I made a reservation for 20 people on a Tuesday night. They let us use the backroom (at no extra charge) and decorate with a few balloons. The food, drinks and service were excellent. I highly recommend for large groups. Thank you!
Lovely food, wonderful staff, very reasonably priced
The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. The margarita pitcher was a bit of a rip off because it was mostly full of ice.
The food was fantastic!
A great place for a group. A lot of space, a fairly casual atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and handled our large group very well. They have a large menu with options for lots of dietary restrictions.
Staff was very nice and professional. Our waitress was great, especially considering our large party. Food was fantastic, as always. If I had to come up with a negative, it would be that the music was a little loud, but in their defense, we did not ask them to turn it down.
Great service and good food.. The staff was very hospitable and flexible.. We had a big group and they let us get seated without everyone there. A few people cancelled at the last minute and the staff there were very nice and readjusted our seating arrangement without any issues. Love Ole' and would go there again!
We came back to Ole after moving out of town 5 years ago and were disappointed to find that the food quality went down. The charm and quality isn’t the same since Chef Ramos left
Ole was amazing. I loved the service we got for my girlfriends birthday and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place for small groups or large. Very accommodating!
Yummy. we were celebrating my daughters birthday and it was just the right spot. They make the guacamole at the table which s fun. food and drinks very good and attentive service. I recommend
We arrived on a sultry evening to no air conditioning in the restaurant. It was unfortunately insufferable.
The “made at the table “ guacamole was made at a service station out of view. It was okay, not great. The glasses looked cloudy and I didn’t drink from the water glass. My entree, fried fish, arrived cold. It was inedible. I had to find the host to tell him because the waitress never returned to the table. The restaurant was less than half full; don’t know what the servers were doing but it wasn’t customer service. The manager apologized and brought a gift card for the amount of the dinner. Unfortunately I will not cash it because I will not be returning.
Very quality service in a nice area. Went for a birthday dinner and it was a nice surprise to say the least.
Came here with my brother and mom and had a great meal! The steak in the tacos suaderos and the lobster quesadilla were exceptional! We also enjoyed the salsa.
I felt like I was back in California eating Mexican food. The service is out of this world just like the food!
The staff was courteous and efficient. The table-side guacamole that they made for our party of 11 was excellent. Our entrees came in a timely manner, and they were delicious.
Good overall, yet surprised by the cost ... seemed pricey for what it is. Also, the bar needs REAL Luxardo Maraschino Cherries! ~TD
Amiable and quick service, excellent food, comfortable setting, appropriate prices
We stopped in on a rainy afternoon. Service was polite and quick, food was delicious, drinks were great. We'll be back!
Good food and service. Crowded, noisy, and cold. Pricy$ ($14) guacamole.
Parking behind a plus in crowded Inman square.
Great food. Portions seem small at first but are very filling, tasty and authentic. Getting the tableside guac with bacon is a must!!!!!
The wait staff was very engaging. We wound up moving to the bar after dinner and striking up a conversation with Bernie, the bar Tender. Very friendly atmosphere.
Will not be going here again. Made this reservation at high top seating and they told us we’d have to wait until a bar spot opened. You should not accept reservations for bar seating if you’re not going to hold the seats.
Corona came without a lime. Other drinks were not good either.
Food was overpriced and small portions. Average taste.
This place is the best! Wonderful food, great staff and the best waiter in the world in Juan. Make sure you get the guac if you go!
Great vibe. Good food. Fun and kind staff. Margarita pitchers!!
Love this place. And their Guac is the best!
Everyone's meal was excellent and the service was outstanding. Two waiters sang Happy Birthday to my husband - who knew they also had such great voices! We had a great night - thanks Olé !
Lovely little hole-in-the-wall. The margaritas and the guac are amazing and the service is great!
Love their homemade table-side guacamole, fresh Mexican beer with lime and crispy healthy fish tacos!
The food was delicious and the servers were friendly and attentive. Two thoughts on what can be improved, the lighting was bright in the back room for dinner and the whole fish was red snapper knowing there maybe tiny bones hidden would have been helpful for deciding on a entree.
most dishes needed more spice/taste but were good...
We love the staff, and in particular Juan - consistently great experience
Nice place amazing guac large chili rillenos wait staff waa great great margaritas, beats a chain anyday
Unfortunately, a very loud bridal party sat down next to us, so this review is colored by that loudness.
That said, the restaurant wasn't full yet it took a very long time for someone to take our drink order.
The fish dish I had suffered from the fish having a less than fresh aftertaste.
The guacamole was good, and my wife enjoyed her food very much.
Guacamole is made to order right in front of you! It is amazing guacamole as well. The restaurant is tucked away in Cambridge and honestly the atmosphere is very old. They could use a major remodel
