Took my son, wives, and grandchild on Saturday before the restaurant shutdown. Meal was excellent as was the service. Place got busier around 7-ish, so definitely is a late arriving crowd FYI. Tremendous wine list and list of your beverage du jour.
We are regular patrons of Pairings and always experience a delicious meal and excellent service.
This is easily the best restaurant in Harford County!
Always my favorite place to go! The food and service are excellent!
Our bartender Juan did an excellent job, he knew our wine orders clearly and expressively explained the daily specials smiled was polite attentive to all the guests at the bar area. It was a pleasure to see our old friend Katrina. Delicious Pinot Noir always friendly faces and well worth the visit… Best kept secret in Bel Air!
Pairings has been my wife's favorite restaurant since they were a much smaller footprint. We go once or twice a year for a special occasion. The food is always delicious, and the drinks are great as well. I highly recommend it to anyone for occasions large or small.
My sister and I had lunch at Pairings Bistro @ 1pm and we enjoyed it very much. The food was excellent and the service was good. The had the Crab dip that had a lot of crab meat and tasted excellent. The fried Brussel Sprouts were a nice treat too. Blacken tuna sandwich was good also. I can not say one bad thing about the experience. Best meal overall I have had in recent years. Will return for sure.
Knowledgeable hostess gave good commentary on each of the Burgundy wines. Chef did a good job explaining each of the dishes, and we also heard descriptions of the wine region. It was a fun evening.
Perfect! We had a party of 14 and our entire evening was flawless and delicious! Thank you!
The place and experience is great from beginning to end. Whether you just want some cheese and wine or a 5 course meal with excellent wine choices, Pairings is a must!
Enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese, could have used a few more lumps of lobster though. Crab soup was awesome and plenty of jumbo lump meat. Caesar Salad was fresh and dressing tasted homemade. Chicken Maderia and lump crab flatbread pizza were both tasty. Service was excellent, dessert (banana split) was a bit lacking for the price. Group next to us was a bit loud, but overall great second visit, will return.
I have been to pairings several times. I think that it is a nice alternative spot to eat less common fare. The wines are excellent. The servers are really good. Last time I think that they were a bit understaffed for our event. But the food and wine were really good. It just took a while. The portion sizes were a little small for the price. But the quality of the food and the wine were really good. I love their shrimp and grits and Malbec wine. It was a nice night out with friends for a change of pace. It provides a nice atmosphere and a different dining feel than most places in Harford County. It is a hidden treasure.
Great service and the food is outstanding. Great for a special occasion or just a nice night out.
Great service and phenomenal food. Will go again!
Experience was great... just not good portion sizes. For the price people pay, the portion needs to be greater.
It was a special menu and the choices were very limited and the food was not up to its standard
Great experience for Valentine's Day at Pairings Bistro. The menu definitely took me out of my comfort zone, but pleasantly so. The roasted beet soup was outstanding, an option I never would have thought to try. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be going back.
Booked to celebrate Valentines a day early to beat crowds and noise. Requested a booth that was in a quiet corner. Reservation was for 7. We arrived at 7 and the hostess said our table wasn’t ready but suggested two other tables. That were too close to other patrons and in noisy locations. We said we would wait for the booth we reserved. After 20 min and hungry at that point I took a booth seat that was out in the open by the kitchen and loud. Very disappointed. To make matters worse the hostess seats a loud group of four next to us within minutes of us seated for a wine tasting. The server was great. Hostess not so much. When asked if we would return by another patron I said no not likely. I have lived in Harco for over 35 years. Have only patronized Pairings 3 times since they have been open. When you have choices of where to dine like we do in our county you tend to patronize restaurants that respect your reservation and simple requests.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinners. Our server was attentive, pleasant and helpful. the food and wine were delicious.
We ad an excellent time at Pairings. The food and wine selections were amazing. Our server was awesome. This was the first time there for my sister and her husband and they totally enjoyed everything! We never felt rushed.
Everything was wonderful but the portions for the 5 course menu were way too big.
My boyfriend and I will definitely return but will not do the pairings menu.
As always the food and the wine were terrific. While neither is inexpensive, both are worth the price. I had the scallops and Bernadette had the market fish, halibut. I always have the cream of crab soup, with a dollop of sherry. All that we ate was beautifully prepared and presented. The Vouvray, recommended by our superior server, was the perfect pairing. I can't imagine that you will ever have an unhappy meal at Pairings. jlow3
The food and service are awesome! Whle I love the rotating menu, I do wish they offered more menu choices at times. Drinks are superior! :)
Pairing is typically our place to go however for whatever reason the service was not up to par. We were there for over 3.5 hours for our dinner.
Also, the entree I had, the gnocchi was not good at all
We always enjoy celebrating special occasions at pairings. The wine selection is excellent the food is delicious and the wait staff is always top notch.
Water was awesome!! I’m sorry I didn’t remember his name.
The best part of our meal was our waiter Eric. He is so nice, very patient and my mom was very impressed that he remembered us from an earlier visit.
First time there and loved it! Will be going back again for sure. Our waiter was fantastic. Great food and great wine.
We had amazing visit and will definitely be back. The service was good, the food and wine even better. There was nothing I tried both food and drink that I didn’t love!
Overall, a very enjoyable first visit to Pairings. Our waiter was excellent and appropriately attentive, but not intrusive. The drink prices were reasonable and it was nice to find prices listed. Our meals were very good, but the Mahi market fish was a bit too pan seared and was very firm and dry, although it had a very good taste. My wife enjoyed her scallops and these were well prepared. We will be back for more visits. Our table near the bar was a bit too close to the people seated next to us and their loud conversation was intrusive. More spacing between seating would help alleviate this issue since the restaurant can't really control guests conversational volume.
Outstanding experience for my wife’s Birthday. The food was excellent and Michelle was amazing as usual
Best service I’ve had!
We celebrate all are anniversaries at Pairings since they have opened. We can always count on having great meal with great service. This year we celebrated our 47 anniversary and again we weren't disappointed. The meal was great and the service was great combined with the friendly staff we couldn't ask for more for this day.
Visit to Pairings Bistro was excellent as always. My wife had their signature Shrimp & Grits, which is her favorite. I enjoyed the Mahi which was the market catch. Started with a salad and ended with Creme Brûlée. Tried a couple new wines and the Shiraz was awesome. Took a bottle home with us.
We love sitting out on the enclosed porch in the winter. Heaters keep it nice and toasty. Our server was excellent and we could not have asked for a better evening!
Thank You Pairings Bistro! You never disappoint.
We came at an odd time - five of us arrived at 3 pm on a Saturday, and we were pretty much the only customers in the restaurant. That said, our waitress was fantastic - very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable...pretty much perfect, really. All of us were sharing bites and sips of everything we had, and it was all wonderful. Just an all-around great dining experience. Thank you, Pairings!
One of our favorite places, but was especially outstanding during restaurant week.
Great value and no skimping on portions.
Katie, our server was fantastic!
The food was delicious and the service attentive. We chose to try the restaurant during restaurant week, which was a good value. Excellent choices for gluten free also.
A group went during restaurant week for the 3-course meal. Everything was delicious as expected. That night the service was very slow. We were thinking it was because it was mid week during restaurant week and it may not be that busy usually so they were understaffed. I love Pairings Bistro and this will not deter me from going back!
We went during Harford county restaurant week. The menu selections were great. The bistro steak au poivre was outstanding. Our waitress Michelle was great. It was girls night out and we really had a great evening. The only drawback is the noise got quite loud. Because it has a vaulted ceiling it is to be expected.
We had the table up by the front window. Our first time eating here. We simply had a great time. The service was perfect. We never waited for anything. The timing of the 4 courses was spot on. Our table had the duck, the steak au poive, the chicken and rock fish. I’m not really a wine drinker anymore, but the wine pairings served with our meal were very good. Sorry, I was so caught up in having a great time that I didn’t take one picture.
Thank you for a great meal.
