I used to come to this location quite frequently when it first opened. Probably 5-6 times a month, if not more. Hadn’t been back in a few years and wanted to come back because the food and drinks were always good and reasonably priced. I was pretty disappointed with my visit. I feel like the quality of food has drastically changed, the items that I loved to order before no longer taste the same and were even presented differently. I came here for a date night with my boyfriend and left very unsatisfied. I hope the quality returns to the food. I’d like to give you guys a try again before completely writing off this restaurant.
Interesting and varied menu. Had the Argentine mixed grill - the chicken was dry and the steak lacked flavor. Service was friendly but slow, which may have been because we were outside. A fine selection of rums though. Try the El Dorado 15 year old from Guyana - outstanding!!
It was my dad’s birthday. Thank you for terrific service and food!! The fish tacos were incredible!
Paladar used to be a place for good food. The food has gotten worse. The food is dry and it now lacks flavor. The service has always been ok and I can say that hasn't improved. It was quite disappointing.
Every dish we’ve had here has been an experience, not just cuisine and culture to be frank. You can tell the quality and selectivity of the ingredients in all the dishes, from fresh calamari to the wild caught tuna, from mushrooms to lamb.
This is our Gaithersburg go-to for rum and rumbling tummies—satisfaction is guaranteed as long as owner and chefs keep up exactly what they’ve got down :-)!

Fitting for a casual dinner for two.
The chicken was flavorful but the black beans seemed over cooked and dry in spots. The wine was amazing! The service was ‘off’ as I had a trainer and trainee so part of my order had been forgotten - ticket mix up??
Food and drinks were very good, service was slow.
Our family loves Paladar. We use to frequent the Amnapolis location until it closed. We have been to the Gaithersburg location 3 times in the last 2 months. AWESOME food and service. Their staff is attentive and personable.
Server was awful in every way imaginable
Love this place!!
I used to visit this restaurant when it was in Rockville, so I was thrilled to find a different location! The food is delicious, especially the plantains! And their mojitos are so good.
My family loves Paladar! And this location is top-notch. We miss the Annapolis location, but the long drive is SOOO worth it.
The Manager is professional, attentive, and sincerely helpful. Friendly staff. The food and service are good.
Had a great time. Have been several times before but had no idea they did brunch on the weekends. The food was great and my GF agreed.
Service was good. I did feel that the servers & possibly bar tenders were a little on the slow side. We had requested two different brands of shots that were both not available but took a while for us to be told about each one. For example, by the time we got our 3 shots, our appetizers AND entres came all at the same time. A little annoying but the food was great.
Excellent food, service, drink, ambiance and safety measures
This is our new go to place! I can not recommend it enough
Drinks were watered down and the food was just ok.
Not super impressed with the flavors and and taste of the food. Drinks are slightly watered down as well. I was here 5 years ago and remember the food being so much better. Might not return back here and look for more hole in the wall authentic places.
Good food and Great service. Our server Nathan put us on to a unique goat-cheese guacamole that will definitely make us come back for more!
Food was okay. Needed seasoning. I had the mushroom burger and it needed more flavor. Fries were great.
Husband had the steak tacos. The steak was stringy and tough.
The jalapeno margarita was excellent.
The sweet potato donuts were terrible. We brought them home and threw them away.
Service was great and server was very friendly and attentive.
True value was not worth it food was alright not spectacular.
Enjoyed the food, ambiance and COVID precautions. It was out first time out to a restaurant since shut down March 2920.
Great food and experience. Thank you for having us!
Very Inviting Atmosphere and great food.
Great experience. Food was fantastic.
Slow cooked pulled chicken for my partner and Brussel sprouts taco for me. Mushroom empanadas to share. A very full and satisfied tummy after a night of “wow this is so good”.
Great mojitos. Amazing guac. Meals themselves were subpar- smoked chicken was just above room temperature and not flavorful. Lamb burger was mediocre.
It took way too long for the server to bring our drinks and to check back on us. The food was fair to mediocre and the ambiance was horrible.
This is a great place for date night, to watch a game or just to grab a drink. Plenty of good choices in the menu and a good specialty cocktail list.
I really think the Rum is the attraction at this place, don't get your expectations too high for the food that is served.
I love this place. The food never lets me down, it’s a fun atmosphere for brunch with friends or a fun date with your SO. They have outdoor seating to accommodate for the COVID aware and heaters to make you feel more comfortable as the weather gets chilly.
Good socially distant setup. Plenty of outdoor tables.
The service is terrible. Sat for nearly 20 minutes until a waiter came to the table. The restaurant was not busy at all so there was no reason for it. It should take 15 minutes for them to bring the check once its requested.
We chose this restaurant because of its service , food and atmosphere. We arrived and the hostess greeted us well. However, upon seating she placed us by the door. We asked if we could sit at another table because the people
In the party we’re very tall and sitting right at the door would be an issue. The young woman snapped at us staring it will be 10 minutes and walked away. For over 20 minutes we were left standing on the patio and the person NEVER came back to tell us what’s going on. My sadness because I’ve loved this place. Me and my friends spend a lot of money here and we often recommend this place. The food outstanding. Eventually the waiter took care of us. But a nite the white folks recieved their food before us and came in 1 hour after us. We had to ask for everything. 😢
The online menu and the menu in the restaurant were quite different. We ended up leaving the restaurant without having any food as the dinner menu didn’t have the items that we liked on the online menu
Delightful ambiance, delicious food, and wonderful service! Highly recommend!
It took a really long time for a server to come out to us. It seemed like there may have been confusion on which server was to be waiting on our table. Otherwise everything was great.
Went with my family to celebrate my adults son work promotion for Sunday brunch. The food was very generous and very good. Ate indoors and social distancing was great. We sat in a large booth with really no one sitting near us. Our waitress was excellent and on top of things. Would definitely recommend to others.
It was an average fair place, nothing spectacular. The food was good, service wasn't, because we were eating and not wearing their mask we kept telling the staff to cover their face.
