Our top choice for steak in Dallas. Been going to Pappa's Bros for years, always excellent in all aspects. Best Steak, pricey, but worth every penny. Ambiance, service, selection and beverage service are the best. Pappas has set the bar high for Dallas steak houses.
It was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the staff was great.
Eating my Birth Day Card. Pappas is hands down my favorite steak house in DFW. I've been to many. Their meat is exceptional. Service is top drawer. Beautiful ambiance, with humorous posters in gents. I have checked ladies, yet ;-) Even simple things like Coffee, Fresh Baked Sourdough are top drawer. Not inexpensive or overpriced.
I often sit at the Chef's Bar to watch kitchen hustle. This is the place for me to take someone special, like a date.
The food and service were wonderful. Great place for a romantic dinner!
excellent food - great service - nice to be able to go out and dine again. We drive over 200 miles just to dine here.
Best Steak in Dallas! I've never had a bad steak here. I enjoy treating business customers and celebrating Birthdays and Anniversaries at this great Steakhouse.
We ordered 2 of the “special” Tomohawk steaks. They were meh. Not much flavor or marbling. They were large, but disappointing. At $129/steak, I expected better.
Excellent food and service. The tables were set nice distance apart but still felt intimate
My wife and I are repeat customers to Pappa's. It is one of the top best steak houses in the DFW area. Although not inexpensive, dinner there is always memorable! Fantastic steaks, soups, and desserts, along with professional. friendly service. The wine list is top notch! We will dine there again for sure!
One of the best dining experiences I have had in a very long time. I didn't know how things would be and swore off trying to do any dining for a while but I was celebrating and fellowshipping with a friend. It was so comfortable and exquisite and the food was beyond my expectations. Melt in your mouth steak, au gratin potatoes and asparagus. Lovely crab cakes with remoulaude. Turtle pie was surprisingly lighter than we thought but decadent. Daryl was excellent as well as all staff and the management making sure we had a good time. It was a great experience.
First, Pappas is our favorite restaurant to celebrate special occasions for my wife and I. We recently went for our anniversary this past Friday, and I'm sad to say that this was the very first time that we have been disappointed overall. Opening up for the first time since the pandemic, we understood that things were definitely going to be different, and we were ready for that. However, we weren't expecting the food quality and service to be subpar. In regard to the food, the cocktails, appetizers (wedge salad; crabcakes) were excellent. The crab mac and cheese, amazing. However, the steak was surprisingly disappointing. We shared a 10 oz. filet, medium rare Oscar. Our steak was cooked perfect, split into two and great as usual. However, the Oscar topping was sad. When we got our food, there was the steak topped with a few pieces of crab. No béarnaise, just the scattered crab. What's surprising, is that it made it past the cooks, expo, and server before hitting our table. When it did arrive, there was no explanation, and our server left. At first, we thought the melted butter was the béarnaise, but that was clearly not the case. We waited to see our server come by to address the issue, and told him when we got his attention. By the time the manager came by to tell us that something happened to the béarnaise, and that it wasn't available, our steaks were cold. He offered to take care of our round of drinks, dessert, and take the charge off for the Oscar. He did come by again and offer apologies which we appreciated when he dropped off the check. When we finished our meal, the manager had removed the drinks and dessert were removed but not the Oscar. Normally, I would have said something, but being our anniversary, I really didn't want to ruin our night having this conversation. However, I feel compelled to say something now since this is one of our favorite restaurants in Dallas. We will continue to visit Pappas for celebrations, and wanted to share this feedback.
So so service
Disappointed anniversary dinner
Loved everything about the other night. Since we were spread out more, it was quiet and we could do enjoy our dinner. Every time I eat at Pappas Brothers Steakhouse, it is an amazing evening. I will be back.
Fantastic visit as always. Perfect food perfect service.
So happy this restaurant is open! Love the food and overall dining experience!
We had a great time. It was nice to be able to return to Pappas. Great to see so many familiar faces. The steaks and fish were cooked perfect. They have a limited menu which was expected due to 50% opening. As usual the wait staff was wonderful. Will visit again soon.
Great service, food was ok. Menu limited and items came back 20 minutes later to say that cut not available anymore for the evening
In today's times we are facing uncharted waters and we need to understand that everyone may need a lifeline every once in a while. Pappas Brothers has the same impeccable service as it always has and the food is still in a class by itself. You won't be disappointed nor will you be surprised. They are after all Pappas Bros., never less and if anything some more.
Throw on your mask, men make yourselves dapper and ladies get doll up as the sayings go.
Seated in the bar area and wasn’t asked if that’s ok or if we could sit in the main dinning area like normal people other than that everything was ok.
Steak had to be sent back because was not cook/season as ordered.
Food is was over priced.
Service (Todd) was outstanding.
Best crab cakes in town!!! The prime filet and baked potato was perfectly superb!!!
Pappa's was one of the best steakhouses I have been to. It was a great atmosphere that allowed for great discussion at the table without having to raise your voice to talk. It is a great romance spot and the food was phenomenal. It definitely isn't cheap, but for a nice dinner, it rates in the top 3 steakhouses in DFW for me!
We were seated by a very loud party and they happily moved us to a quieter section. My husbands $66 steak cane out well done when he orders it med rare plus but they replaced it along with our sides and took off half the cost of the steak from our bill. Great customer service.
Service and food quality outstanding as always
Our server was great. We told him we were out celebrating and he gave us our dessert as a congratulations- and the turtle pie was pretty tasty. Which was much appreciated. However, the rest of our food was....not that great for the most part. We each had a cup of soup, and were both pleased with our appetizer choices so we had high hopes for the rest of the meal. Alas, we were disappointed. The steaks we got were not seared at all, and the asparagus was drowning in butter. Baked potatoe was good, but a decent baked potatoe does not make up for the poorly done steaks. I had an old fashioned which was really sweet, not to my taste but that might just me my personal preference. My husband and I were irritated as we could've made better steaks and drinks at our house for a fraction of the cost. Overall, despite some high points at the beginning and end, this was just not worth what we were charged. For your money there are much better steakhouses in Dallas.
High quality, awesome tasting food, with excellent friendly/professional service!
Went to celebrate my engagement. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant.
Brought my wife for her birthday and we brought along our 15 month old daughter. We were somewhat hesitant to do so but had a great experience.
Asked the hostess to seat us somewhere out of the way in case she acted up. They did so without issue. Our waitress, Sonya was great. She brought out our daughters meal right away. She was polite and very helpful. The food was of course, fantastic. Would highly recommend Pappas for a great meal and excellent service.
Overall best in class for food, service, wine , and having a great date night
Outstanding service made the meal even more enjoyable. Our server was very attentive and appreciate him helping with celebrating my Chicago executive (his last name is Pappas) feel special. Thank you.
Best experience ever. Micheal was incredibly kind I can’t thank him enough. Crab Mac n cheese might be the best ting I’ve ever had
This was place had excellent customer service and very nice vibe. I brought my family here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and everyone loved it. Overall, great experience dining here.
My husband and I have been here before. It was my mother’s birthday and neither of my parents had been. What a wonderful way to celebrate! Our service was outstanding and the food was beyond amazing. We will be returning once again in the near future.
For the first time in well over two dozen excellent dining experiences at Pappas I had to send my steak back. The 16 oz rib eye was very tough and over seasoned. The staff and management were very helpful and a full refund was provided. As a side note my guest's bone in filet was perfect as was the side orders and wine selection.
We eat here for our special occasions. Everything has always been excellent. This time way wife and daughters steaks (which were ordered medium well) came to us way under cooked. unfortunately when this happens, it disrupts the flow of the evening when two of the three people are sitting waiting on their food when sides are delivered and the third person is already eating their steak.
Overall, the experience was nice but for the price we would expect it to be the best.
Fantastic food. Wife described it as the best meal that she has ever had. Service was amazing...perfect balance between attention and leave us alone.
Absolutely amazing food and service. It was pricey but worth it to show my hubs a great birthday.
Waitress showed no personal or good social skills. Very cold personality with limited knowledge of stake differences. FYI ... What is the difference between porterhouse and ribeye or tomahawk tender and flavor wise? She quoted all steaks here are pretty much the same. Service was not tailored at all. While serving dropped utensils on table twice. When she asked how was desert .... she turned around when I was about to open up and express myself. Felt service was mechanical and roboti . No interest in hearing my opinion.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Best steak in TX!!
